V3noe reacted to Hinjima in nzxt vs corsair power supply
I personally ONLY use the RMx series from Corsair in every build I do ( 50 builds last year alone ).
I also have one myself.
Great reliability, 10 year warranty, extremely low noise ( No RPM mode during light to moderate use ) and just overall a great PSU.
Get the RM1000x, you won't regret it.

V3noe reacted to Brando212 in nzxt vs corsair power supply
the more I hear about and see reviews on NZXT items, the more I'm realizing how wildly inconsistent their quality control is. I would personally veer away from NZXT and go with the Corsair just for the added piece of mind.

RM1000x all day. If not for purely wattage than for more connections, cheaper aftermarket cable choices, overall better quality, better low load modes and a better integrated fan.
I have a 2018 RM1000x and I highly recommend the entire RMx line

Cool, I like that you acknowledge it. Lots will argue this and that.
All I aim to do is inform, if you still want what you want after that... enjoy it, sir.

Can't say I'd change anything except the RAM. I'd run G. Skill 6000Cl30 instead, it's just more reliably stable on AM5 than Corsair.
Look at the 7800XT, seems like it's 15% cheaper for you. Performs as well as the 4070.

V3noe reacted to banana squash in On lookout for at new monitor
i am guessing you are using AUD?
some good options i would recommend would be:
Dell S2719DGF: 1440p ips with a 155hz refresh rate, color accuracy is meh.
AOC CQ32G1: 31 inches @1440p its not exactly ips but it has decent blacks good colour accuracy and is 144hz
and finally
LG 27GL850-B: obviously 27 inch ips @1440 144hz and it has quite food color accuracy
i hope you find this information useful! I'm not a professional though! so do your research and filter your options to your needs! :3

V3noe reacted to Oshino Shinobu in Antivirus talk
For personal use, yes, Windows Defender is fine.
It can be worthwhile to install another 3rd party tool to run scans at regular intervals as well. Something like Malwarebytes, or even Microsoft's own scan tool, MSERT (Microsoft Safety Scanner) and ESET Online Scanner.
EDIT: This is also assuming you're regularly updating Windows (assuming you're on Windows). Antivirus can only do so much, and there's system files that are treated as trusted so are often exempt from scrutiny by most AV applications. If one of those is vulnerable and you haven't patched it, the AV software might do you no good.

V3noe reacted to flo_306 in spinning 3D effect
after effects. you just copy and paste the emojy many times and move it back every time you create a new copy. finally you pre-compose everything and make the comp rotate. make sure that everything is in a 3D layer tho

V3noe reacted to imrosuke in Cant pick a motherboard
If motherboard is cheaper doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna die. Just google some reviews, but don't buy some 20$ green motherboard. Try with 80$ if you don't need overclocking

V3noe reacted to dizmo in Drives question
Just make sure you take out the old drivers and put in the proper ones.

Unless you format it or delete stuff from there. Yes it will still be where you placed it.

Looks good. I didn't find that one when I was looking.

V3noe reacted to Trinopoty in Ultrawide choice
I've been eyeing this one for a while. But I guess this also meets your criteria. Both are curved though.
-
V3noe reacted to JetBlack in Ultrawide choice
I was able to grab a HKC 100hz 3440x1440 Ultrawide for my setup a while back for 200 used, but new its around 7-800, and I would definitely recommend it for a cheaper ultrawide.

V3noe reacted to JohanKjeldahl7 in Thoughts on these 2 boards?
They are nearly identical. I would go with the cheaper one since you will not miss a lot of features for the lower price and both boards have great quality.
