The excuse would be that you already own a lot of high end/quality headphones and use them. Switching to BT is a pain and it requires that you buy new ones that are compatible and invest more cash to get higher quality ones compared to the traditional aux. Also, CHARGING! I don't want another tech device that needs charging, my phone, laptop and smart band are more than enough as it is.
But there is always the option of going USB Type C to Aux like I do, sadly my new phone doesn't have aux and this adapter is an inconvenience.

The OnePlus X is too old. Are you reading the latest news? Older gen iPhones get higher battery drain on the latest update. Nothing is safe and @Crunchy Dragon is completely right, getting anything above that barely makes sense.
    How about a OnePlus 5t or 6?

My issue with Bluetooth being pushed so heavily as the only option is that it's got too many drawbacks that don't outweigh its' convenience for my personal liking. First off, I'm not talking about the "quality wars" - Bluetooth 5.0 audio using AptX (or similar) is more than capable of delivering enough bandwidth for full quality FLAC content. It's the drawbacks of trying to switch between multiple paired devices (since Bluetooth devices always try to re-pair with the last used device) and having to charge yet another battery powered device that make Bluetooth less convenient for me. That and the fact that it's NOT cheap to add Bluetooth to my car, and I install car stereos & speaker systems as a hobby.

The Verge actually has a great article on the pros and [many] cons of Bluetooth, despite being a technology news & review site. Nilay Patel points out that while Bluetooth is essentially supposed to make our lives easier, there are too many circumstances that haven't been thought of in terms of the end user experience that it really ends up making our lives more difficult. https://www.theverge.com/2017/10/5/16426754/pixel-2-headphone-jack-bluetooth-walled-garden

Below are the 6 common Bluetooth problems that Nilay faced far too regularly to consider the implementation of Bluetooth (not the technology itself) a mature and user friendly way to connect devices on a regular basis. Does it work well? Sure, when it works. Does that mean it's good enough to replace wires? No way, otherwise we'd also see ISP's dropping the use of HFC networks to use 802.11ax once the spec is fully developed, which we know isn't going to happen for a variety of reasons, reliability aside.

I would have to agree, but there was no valid reason to get rid of it. Also, I guarantee that any wired headphones will KILL any BT headphones in their price range and even ones that are 20-30% more expensive. Also, peripherals that have integrated batteries, like BT headphones are an overall POOR investment. Batteries start dropping capacity relatively fast, and I don't want to have headphones that are over 2 years old and can barely hold a charge to listen to music for a bit, let alone last a day. So, effectively, after 3 years I have a useless piece of tech on my table, while quality headphones last for years. My dad still owns a pair of headphones from the 90s that are still producing amazing sound quality and while I'm typing this I'm listening to music on a pair of AKG's that were bought 6 years ago. So no thanks to BT peripherals.

Yup, no matter how good it was, due to it's age I wouldn't use it. You can check how good it is by measuring the voltage while it is under load, if the 12v falls under 11.85v consider it useless, however, it should keep at around 12v at all times.

Any branded 450W PSU is more than enough for a 2200G.

I wouldn't use it due to age.  You don't need a powerful PSU for a 2200G.  450 would be plenty.  Corsair and EVGA make good stuff if you are looking for a new one.

Yeah, I noticed that as well.
Honestly if you don't need it right away and can wait, it'll always pay off in one way or another.
I don't think Zen will launch before Christmas though. I think they would have pushed for a Black Friday release, since that's when loads of people will be buying tech, and we haven't seen so much as a teaser from them.

Well, I only have cash for CPU, motherboard, RAM. I'd still have to wait for PSU, cooling etc. So either way the build won't be complete before Christmas. Then I'll wait. Thank you very much for your help, cheers!

    1. Reinstalling would result in faster ans more stable OS but roadkil's rawcopy will clone it for you.
    2. Sure it'll work. Just keep in mind, our assuring words won't back up your data. It's not like it's foolproof.
    3. RAID1 is no backup. It'll provide a degree of protection against HW failure, but it's about the dumbest thing you can do as a single solution. What if it's the mobo that fails? What if theres a virus? What if you delete something by accident? What if there's an electrical shock? WHat if someone steals or damages the PC? If you really want a local-only solution with two drives, a separate PC with a ROBOCOPY script cloning stuff over would be worlds better. I have one running on logout and hourly during logon. I've had my share of problems but zero dataloss.

    1. Yes sir, I'll look over my stuff to find that win 10 cd key.
    2. Understood, I'll backup the most critical files.
    3. I meant it as a HW failure of a drive, we do weekly backups of files, It's nothing that crucial, but it would be a pain in the ass if it were completely lost. All company related data is backed up to 2 external drives so this is meant as a HW failure redundancy. I'll look into the ROBOCOPY script, might come in useful, don't have the resources to run a separate PC doing that right now, but thanks for the idea.

Honestly it's fine, it is just a tad noisier than some of the custom editions. Make sure you set-up a custom fan curve when you get it through the likes of MSI Afterburner and you will be good to go.

My experience with WP is that it is amazing. Best bang for the buck. However, the app support it terrible and by the looks of things, it won't catch up any time soon.
