itsmyjobtoknow got a reaction from CA8OOS3 in [Build Log] itsmyjobtoknow's Personal Rig Update v3 | i7-6850K | RX Vega 64 | mATX Custom Loop (Finished)
[08/16/2017]
Got myself a RX Vega64 (standard).
Not sure why I am excited to convert this into a single slot GPU when I watercool....But I am.

65C Idle is normal. It won't spin it's fan unless it's over 65C, so when it reaches it, it will maintain it at idle.
Now, for load,
A. is your case small or have optimal air flow? My friend had an issue before just like the one you describe, and it was because his case lack proper airflow for an open cooler card and because it was SFF.
B. Have you change your thermal paste, it might change the temps a degree or two, but not by much.

Might help if you use DDU to nuke all the graphics drivers files, and install driver freshly.

Your CPU is more than capable. You have more then enough ram. An SSD will speed up OS and load time, and make the user experience better, but most likely not gaming performance.

Speecy....isn't necessarily the most accurate at reporting system info.

itsmyjobtoknow got a reaction from ARikozuM in M.2 vs ssd
Not all M.2 SSD are PCIe based. There are some that are still using the SATA III interface.

itsmyjobtoknow got a reaction from ShadowDeity in Should I get a 1070 or a 1080?
Well...if you live in the US, I've seen prices of a 1070 as high as 500USD...which is similar pricing to a 1080.
So if you see the prices around 500USD, might as well get a 1080 instead.

Calc II....have fun...make sure you at least remember/know Calc I material.
But based on your schedule...I think you'll better off holding WCing until winter break.
IMO, last thing you would want is to be stuck with a half built system because you didn't get something you thought wasn't necessary.
Because sh*t can happen when you actually do the loop.

itsmyjobtoknow got a reaction from genexis_x in What Graphics Card Should I Go With?
AMD Radeon Graphics Card doesn't require a Crossfire Bridge to enable Crossfire.
It's been this way since the launch of the R9 290/x back in 2013.
Everything is now done through the PCI-e interface.

Almost every new board supports M.2 or NVMe, except for the extreme budget boards.
But for most consumers, there is no benefit for NVMe drives.

I kinda like the idea of entry level jobs being taken over by robots.

itsmyjobtoknow got a reaction from Sauron in Humans need not apply
You'll be surprised how many grown adults I see still working in an entry level job because they have no other skill sets.
I've even seen people who can't even get an entry level job.
It may be a stepping stone for some, but it's a permanent solution for others.
Lets continue with your example of McDonald
Second Job: If you don't get paid enough at the first job, then take the time you would have used working for McDonald and spend it on studies and expanding your skill-set so you can find another job that gives you better pay rate and replace the primary job.
Young Lad: they should be more focused on studies and less on money....ideally. Heck, going for a payed internship is better than working at a McDonalds.

itsmyjobtoknow got a reaction from Orphanore in What is the difference between these two boards?
S2PV seems to support more legacy hardware as it has a serial port on the rear I/O and PCI lanes instead of PCIe x1 lanes that's on the A model

So the highest temp you got is 199F....convert that to Celsius and it's about 92C-93C
That is a bit high for my personal taste

itsmyjobtoknow got a reaction from HeavyFtw in monitor diffrences?
Honestly, it's up to you and how you have your set up
If you have the space and money, sure the larger screen, otherwise if your limited in space and money, smaller display won't hurt much

itsmyjobtoknow got a reaction from YaroTeru in Framerate - G1 Gigabyte RX480 + i5 6600k
One possibility for unstable FPS would be a dirty driver install.
Use DDU to nuke the current drivers and reinstall them to see if that helps.

itsmyjobtoknow got a reaction from MattyHeal in AMD Ryzen - No Windows 7 Support?!?
Do you not know how much money it would cost for businesses and schools to deploy W10 to almost every machine and make sure that nothing breaks or loses support for certain software?
