    Budget (including currency): 1400 euro
    Country: Belgium
Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:
    Hitman, Geometry dash, Minecraft modpacks.
Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Hi my nephew is looking to buy a new pc at this moment he is looking at this one: https://www.dell.com/nl-be/shop/cty/pdp/spd/g-series-15-3500-laptop/cng3022?cartitemid=3357c1a2-8f9f-4b2f-98f6-0942873515da&ref=carconfigedittitle&configurationid=d379419c-c883-4d4d-924f-1363a0e7ad45

But he asked me to see how much a desktop would cost without screen, keyboard etc. with the same specs as the laptop to see how much money he can save if any. So the point of this build is being as cost effective as possible i have picked out some parts you can see them listed below. I am having a little trouble selecting a good budget cpu cooler and motherboard. If you would change anything from the already selected parts feel free to do so if you think that would be better.

So the whole idea is to have a desktop with the same specs as the laptop but for as much less money as possible without losing performance.

    Thanks in advance.

Arctic is a pretty well known brand and most of their coolers are pretty good, I have used this on a friends PC before, it's quiet, cheap, and looks sexy in a white build.

EDIT: PCPP says it averages 4.7 stars out of 11 reviews.

When i boot my pc all the hardware rgb goes on but the MB gets stuck on the Q-code 8d. My way to solve this is let it run for a couple of second hold the power button to shut the pc down and then boot the system again then it runs perfectly fine until i shut it down go to sleep and try to boot it the next day.

I have tried to solve this a couple weeks ago but and i couldn't solve it i only had 2 ram sticks. For christmas i got the 2 other ones when i plugged those in my issue was solved and i thought i found it but now the same exact issue is back.

I have run memtest86 and there were no issues. I also contacted rog support but as i expected that got me nowhere.

You can find a lot of people with the same issue but without solution if you search for crosshair viii hero 8d.

Thanks for all the help i would really appreciate it if anyone knew a solution.

Overnight wait even with slowest QLC SSD would be only if you're transferring several TBs of photos lol. And there's a good amount of very fast TLC drives that have good transfer speeds and cost twice less than Samsung 970 Pro, even Samsung 970 Evo (Plus) isn't that slow as you're describing. But i agree on QLC not being a good choice either way.
Why US build then ? Where are you from ?

get a samsung 970 pro, qlc is gonna be the bane of your existence with the large files you work with

the specific reason I recommend pro is that it is able to maintain the boost transfer speeds vs the non pro which drops speeds after about 30 sec. I know that with transferring tons of photos, the speed of the drive could be the difference of a 1 hour wait and a overnight wait.

also get a sabrent rocket 1tb instead. Better performance at £110. a lot more endurance and 95percent of speed (in some cases more).
Mine came today, amazon said it was out of stock just ignore it their systems being dodgy.
the case it comes in is so sexy too. its the same drive as the m510.
just a reminder you shouldnt go above 50% storage capacity for ssd's and especially for your 660p cuz its 4 bit.
