3 or 4 port nvlink?

Hi i am building a new computer for my uncle who turn 50. he wants to play 4k games on as high as possible fps. He also want to pay extra for aesthetics. I think nvlink myself is a little overkill but thats th eonly way to go past a 2080 ti so do i need a 3 or 4 port nvlink on this build?

It would also be nice to hear about some suggestions/things u may change maybe lower RAM? But do not look at the cost neccesary.

Thanks for you're advice.

I would just not get a dual gpu setup. There is barely any game that supports it and it's more of a hassle than it's worth with the issues it can cause in games. A single 2080ti will do fine.

Ok maybe thats best for him anyway so he doesnt have to configure stuff everytime he launches a new game

dont. go 1440p and play at a higher refreshrate and a better monitor. 4k, is simply not worth it and in many games a worse experience.

also most of the build is a complete waste of money.

how does the idea of going ITX sound?

Suggestions: instead of going for 4 8GB stick of RAM I would recommend purchasing 2 16GB sticks allowing for upgrades in the future if need be, also if he does not want to change out the CLV in 2 to 5 years it would probably be a better idea to purchase the NH-D15 chromax.

Also if he is in for the looks he should take a look at the Aorus Extreme 2080Ti71dZ6VuvQ5L._AC_SL1500_.jpg

Yes it is, the NH-D15 actually came out first and the dark rock pro 4 was released to compete with it.

one can allways add more RGB in the way of fans. and more. i thing you would find this having a lot of RGB.

edit: replace the cooler fan with the RGB fan.

also, as @GoldenLag suggested, don't get this memory kit. it's way to expensive and overkill. the sweet spot for third gen ryzen is 3600, i doubt the cpu can even run ram at more than 4000. also 2x16 is easier to run and easier to upgrade than 4x8
