UncleJarvis reacted to GGPLAYING in RGB Fans- I need some help
If you want a lot of applications to be opened at the same time you need more RAM. 8GB are the minimum in 2019, 16GB is the best for games and 32GB and higher is for workstations or people with a lot of chrome tabs

UncleJarvis reacted to Jarsky in Internet really slow on new PC
So other devices on the same SSID are working fine?
Do you have any firewall/security software installed that can control the network adapter?
Have you tried an ethernet cable to confirm that ethernet is working ok? (indicating its interface specific)
Have you checked under Task Manager > Resource Monitor > Network to confirm nothing else is hammering your network traffic?

UncleJarvis reacted to Livin in Gigabyte Z390 arrived not "factory" sealed? On a scale of 1 to 10, how worried should I be?
Personally as long as the hardware looks fine and everything worked fine, I wouldn't worry. Definitely check things over for damage and functionality sooner than later though.
Amazon is really good about returns on products they sell, so I wouldn't anticipate any problems if you did want to send it back. They replaced a video card that I ordered due to a tear in the outer box (this was for a gift so I wanted better condition packaging).
Keep in mind that this can change if you're dealing with an Amazon Marketplace seller though. Might have to fight more for that depending on the seller.

UncleJarvis got a reaction from wojtepanik in Connecting rear fan to psu
Nothing wrong with doing that. You might lose any fan speed adjustments if you have software installed for that, otherwise that rear fan will be at 100%.

UncleJarvis got a reaction from Tudor30 in I screwed up and I need help
Well, hopefully somebody has time to research this part from your savage dismantling of the laptop. There was no need to unscrew random parts just to get to thermal pad if you correctly consulted the tear down manual. Browsing, I didn't see it listed as a user replaceable part. Shit creek, you like it?
Does the notebook power up? Windows loads? Is there anything it can't do anymore? I'm out ?

Forget the picture, tell me EXACTLY what the numbers/letters are on the chip. There is no such thing as a mystery laptop part.

UncleJarvis reacted to Tudor30 in I screwed up and I need help
So, the other day, me and my father decided to clean and change the thermal paste and pads on a laptop (Acer aspire v3 771g). While we were at it i found a little chip near the computer chasis and the mobo's place in the pc. And we searched for it for hours and could not found it's place/spot neither it's function. It says bT1 and some nubers on the small chip itself (805 and (not sure if it begins with a 1)096). I know I am asking for a lot, but if you know (or at least you think you do) leave a reply. Thx
P.S.: this thing is smaller than my pinkie

UncleJarvis reacted to Arika in Looking to open a Gaming Cafe and would like some insight
The first thing you need to research before spending ANY money or planning anything you have listed, is will you have a market for such a thing? it's all well and good to open it, but if you don't have customers you wont be open for long.
people these days will likely already have their own PC if they are into PC gaming. what incentives will people have to go to a computer cafe to use yours? how much are people going to be willing to pay?
