You have more patience than I have. I can have Windows reinstalled in 15 minutes and nearly all my programs reinstalled in less than an hour. When Windows gets that screwed up, you'll save a lot of time just wiping and starting over.

Good luck though if you intend to stick with it.

Good list, well done and written. And factual information.

I have 2080 ti FE x2 and I slapped an Alphacool Eiswolf GPX 240 on them and they idle in the mid 30's C to almost ambient. Under load, the highest I saw them get was the low 70's. Just info if someone was wondering how the FE did under water.

Ravenbear reacted to Corrupt_Liberty in Im struggling to output a good FPS through games, what is my bottleneck?
It runs fine on my 1080 ti.  I do struggle to maintain 60 fps with max settings at 1440p though.  But without SLI support I can't get closer to that 100fps mark I should be able to get.

no you don't need a second modem / router.
what you need is a wireless distribution system / wireless repeater.
go from the same brand and it should be a straightforward installation.

I retried from the Army 5 years ago.  But stupid me should have read the fine print that said I was still part of the inactive reserves. For 6 years. And sure enough with 6 months left they dragged be back in to be a trainer and reset the clock. Don't get me wrong I like the money but when I get up in the morning my bones sound like two skeletons tap dancing on a tin roof.  I am to old for this crap. And the next Sgt that calls me gramps I will punch.

Right now we have a 4:1 ratio of capacity for the same amount of money, if we talk about cheap products on all sides.

That is really not that much no more. The HDD Manufacturers need to increase their game and innovate, increse the capacity for the price.

In the last 10 years or so, it just doubled for the same amount of money. That's not that great at all for that timeframe...

Decent 1TB SSDs are at around 100€ right now.

    Naa, I disagree.
There is still a reason for magnetic drives, especially if you want to store some not performance relevant things - like your holliday movies and pictures.

But yeah, the Problem is that the HDD Manufacturers didn't do much in the last 10 years...

There isn't much difference in performance from my 1TB/7200rpm Samsung Spinpoint to modern ones.
My two 1TB Samsung in RAID0 are a bit faster than modern lower end Drives but not by much...

My friend uses a Logitech M570. I've used it before, it didn't have the right features for me, but I will say it was good quality and it would be great if you like trackballs. It works fine for my friend (he does Sketchup and FPS gaming and a bunch of other stuff on it).
