1 week ago, they said 4k is dumb
35 minutes ago, they were talking about the cheapest 4k monitor in Amazon...

    Somebody please explain

One says 4K gaming is dumb, the other is a review of the cheapest 4K monitor on Amazon. Where's the contradiction?

Good idea, considering that it's Christmas in the next few months...

Also, I'm thinking about giving the magnets away like candy this Halloween. Children like magnets ?

It is meant to used by having it running in a server and then with that ethernet port, connect it to a PC-over-IP (PCoIP) client, a small box with usb and display outputs.
The server does the computing, the PCoIP box only receives the compressed video and displays it.

Just checked, I bought RAM with ECC... going to return it.

Some Macs use ECC (Error Correcting Code) ram, which only works in server class motherboards or CPUs.
So you have to check model numbers and spec sheets.

What's your use case scenario? I use Chrome Remote Desktop to periodically move files from my desktop to Google Drive so that I can download them on my laptop (say, when I forget to move it the night before). Depending on your internet speed, you won't reap the full benefits of direct attached peripherals. Best case, you'll be running at around 30Hz (or FPS), 6- to 8-bit color, moderate stream compression. Worst case scenario, you'll be running at around 2-4Hz, 4-bit color, with heavy stream compression. We're dealing with a lot of data getting transmitted over the internet (think about why gamers streaming content online often use a second computer strictly for encoding). If you plan on Google Docs-ing it up and periodically accessing the Windows 10 machine for the occasional data grab, go for it. If you plan on using it to do latency-sensitive things on a regular basis, I'd rethink your strategy over.

You would need thunderbolt or an unused wifi card slot but even then that could be 4X or slower which is really killer on performance

I don't think there are 1060 Lappys available under 1k yet.  The Dell you found might be the best option all around, or you can find a 1050ti model that doesn't have as nice a build as the Dell.  Depends what is most important to you.

You can get one of those sub $1000 gaming laptops. Due to the place, it obviously will have some downfalls (higher temps, bulkier, bad speakers, etc.) Many of them have a really nice mobile CPU & will usually rock a GTX 1050(w/ or w/o Ti).

One that I can think of is the Acer Nitro 5. I've heard that the speakers aren't so hot and the plastic frame can be bendy at times but other than some minor flaws, it will serve well to do some light-medium gaming.
