That's nice and all, but the question is more about will 16GB help you... and we can't answer that without knowing your usage currently. We can ASSUME with this new information that video rendering can benefit from it...
Cuz this was WAY too uninformative...
Tho so many people "render videos" that it's almost a meme now. Like the "Gamer" designation on things.
Soon we'll have "Video Rendering Chairs" to go along with our gaming ones

Doubtful tho. Unless he's pegging 16GB in Windows, more won't do anything. His experience will already be smooth.

Your overall desktop experience would be a little smoother. But there wouldn't be a big difference in gaming. Unless, you edit a lot or do 3D rendering.

Unless you're often noticing that you are running out of memory, then it wouldn't really bring any noticeable improvement.

Last week someone dropped off an ASUS Maximus VI Hero board with a 4770k and 16 gb of ram.

rqb2001 got a reaction from TheSLSAMG in My Phanteks build
Someone dropped it off at my job. The board, cpu, and memory was previously watercooled by a Corsair H60 in a Thermaltake Urban T81 case which was too big for my liking. Teseted everything out and it works fine. Never had any issues. Only thing I added was the Phanteks case, the EVGA 750 G2, and the Cryorig H5.

rqb2001 reacted to tikker in What your favorite case to work in?
Nice job on the PSU shroud. I wanted to get one as well, but then I started building a new one
For now I think the 760T is my favorite case to build in due to its space. The 570X is not so user friendly for cable management, but fills up nicely component wise.
