Did you forget to type `sudo` when running any of the commands in the wiki? Looks like a permission issue. Can you try it again and post everything from the terminal including the commands that you typed in?

Well it looks like the built-in driver for your NIC is not very good (which is rare, especially for intel NICs), so you will have to download the one provided by Intel. Please take a look at this post with instruction on how to install a driver from Intel - https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/474035.

I had the same issue.  It turned out that the problem was caused by having the program folder in a sub-folder, which was in another sub-folder, etc.  It was too many levels down.  Move the folder to the root, or a lower folder, and try again.

One time a guy brought his computer to clean it from viruses, but he also brought his power and VGA (at that time) cables and asked whether I can clean the viruses from them as well, because he is afraid that if he plugs those cables back into the computer, some viruses left on the cables will infect it again

Does it at least beep? If not, it is probably the mobo (assuming you actually have a buzzer). Check the capacitors around the CPU, if there are some blown off - it is 99% the mobo.

Which burned off electronics doesn't smell like smoke? Why did you assume CPU?

Just get the Ryzen. It is gonna be brand new after all, which means it has a warranty if something is wrong. If you spend your money on an used Xeon without warranty and something is faulty, you will have just spent your money and end up with no processor. Ryzen 7 does support ECC RAM, so no worries there. Also I'd suggest you get a 1700 instead of 1700X, because it is even better price for basically the same thing. Lower TDP as well. For a server, I would also suggest you to get a MOBO with dual LAN ports.

Sure, I know that already. Also I am not trying to be sceptical or anything, I am just looking at this objectively, because I just found out about YouTube's paid channels. And you can also get exclusive content there, as well as early access to videos.

I don't know what kind of issues you are having building from AUR, but I only had to manually verify 2 GPG keys and everything went smoothly onwards. The commands I used were:

gpg --recv--key 5CC908FDB71E12C2 (this one took about 20 seconds)
    gpg --lsign 5CC908FDB71E12C2
    gpg --recv--key D9C4D26D0E604491
    gpg --lsign D9C4D26D0E604491

Run them and try building spotify from AUR again

You're absolutely right, and money aside let's say this was developed as a hobby, I think the logic for handling missing/out of order texts would need to be pretty impressive.

In theory it could work, since all the right parts are there, but I think this is looking more and more like some huge project that would need hardcore programmers and not some little script! I think the looming danger of carriers blocking it would stop anyone from investing the time needed.

Pretend for a moment that a single message sent to load linustechtips.com looked like this:

    u8MRf4BXOQwVoDOh kod8ukU7vBOew87p zzjV23jHIv4bltnd 8Ep2ycOqepsNxEsa Tk0HegvvkplIe92p 2CPEZJLEBdIw307a qBRqU4AjjzD9Lwy3 FN5DF9UZQ8X2BQv2 4L99cfalxKO8Pf7N xspk0sr2mmfv7PzK yB7K3tF4wm0j1X8L D4CxXy9NXxbtGSSu w9UGRhbsL0zTeO5S tKO20R3aYHuPICYh 8gQ1ML3yRPU0OXjK Xz7eqJsakV6ipCV4
It could be made even more dense if we included special characters and emoji and whatnot, you know used a character set of 65,536 different Unicode characters, but it would still take a ton of messages to send even a small amount of data.

If only the world didn't revolve around money, or at least people were spending them more on productive/meaningful matters instead of this kind of stuff . It is sad to think that somebody's purpose would be to buy this, so they can sell it for more later, but this is completely different topic.

If the collector loves Apple/iPhones, then it's only natural they'd want to own one of the first iPhones.
