Make sure that the laptop sleeves carry handle is wide enough so that it will fit over the extended bars of a carry-on trolly bag. It allows you to slide the sleeves handle strap over the extended handle bars and rest the laptop bag on top of your trolly bag without risk of it falling off or twisting around while walking around airports etc.

GTBTK got a reaction from swimtome in LTTStore, Affiliate links and Integrity
The only integrity that you have control over is within your own realm, the downstream manufacturing, sourcing etc. If you are trying to control upstream third parties you will fail, no matter what you try.

The simple solution to your problem is that the affiliate ink page at lttstore.com highlights that the product is "the best in your opinion the product is top quality etc., the purchase from this affiliate link gives a kickback to the originator of the link but does not change the final purchase price". or words to that effect.

It then doesn't matter if the creator discloses the connection or not, You are controlling your own destiny and the customer decides if he want to proceed or not before completing the purchase. I don't think that it will impact your sales as the buyer doesn't lose anything. the only difference is the promo is from someone other than LTT

There are none, and here it is impossible to find an i7 2600K (ohh and btw, if I am going to upgrade and old gen CPU, I want it to be a K at least, will overclock once I get a new mobo). I will have to buy one that will be shipped from other countries

I have a 1050W power supply I am covered there, ohh and btw I bought it for $40 brand new. One hell of a deal I gota say.

Clock droop like that is pretty common even on Intel boards.

The B350 boards do not have the extenal clock chip like the higher end x370 boards as far as I am aware. so you cannot adjust BCLK.

In addition to the Asus CH6, the Asrock Taichi and Gaming Professional and the Gigabyte Gaming k7 also have the b-clock chips

GTBTK got a reaction from scottyseng in Trouble overclocking with MSI Afterburner
With Pascal the slider is a percentage of the voltage headroom between the base value of 1.061 and the maximum of 1,093v. No you cannot change units and 1% does not equal 1mv.

Pascal overclocking is mainly relying on the GPU boost to get the 2100mhz that you are hearing about. The best core clock that you will be able to get is somewhere in the region of 1700 using the slider.

If you look at the voltage curve (Ctrl-F in AB), you can see how the curve increases in the Y value as voltage increases across the X axis from left to right. Each voltage point actually has different overclocking potential. With your card, the point at 1.061V can OC +135 points, as you increase the voltage slider, the next point becomes active, however, 1.075V cannot OC to +135, maybe 1.075V can only get to +130 and remain stable. That same principle applies to each of the remaining points as you move across the graph. You need to test each point along the way to maximize your clock settings.

As you do not game down around teh .800V level, you also have the option of leaving the entire curve at stock values and only pulling the curve values in the 1.075 - 1.093 range up to the high clock speeds and testing your FPS level. With the lower voltage points remaining at lower levels, the card will tend to draw less power and keep you high gaming clock speeds more stable

GTBTK got a reaction from DocSwag in Do you agree with nVidia's GPU pricing... - IT HAS DOUBLED!
As much as I don't like the high prices as a consumer, Something is worth whatever another person is willing to pay for it and there are a lot of people paying the prices so it must be about right.

Nvidia has no real competition at the high end right now and there was a large pent up demand for high end graphics cards due to the 2 year gap between Maxwell and Pascal. They were very lucky that AMD didn't come along with something really desirable in that time gap

Return the card if you want to by all means but I will tell you this about the MSI cards:

the MSI cooler is one of the most efficient ones going, it is also one of the quietest ones around,

The MSI cards have higher power limits at default settings than the EVGA, Asus and gigabyte cards that help get higher stable overclock. The EVGA cards in particular bounce around because they hit the power limit and downclock a lot

you can flash a Gaming Z bios and get a free upgrade default clock. The PCB and circuitry are identical, the only difference is the naf led on the Z backplate. You shoudl also be able to upgrade the non OC Strix card to the OC version with a bios flash as well

GTBTK got a reaction from Chaos_Sorcerer in Has there ever been a time when AMD's top offering was superior to that of Nvidia's?
AMD Gpus are much better that Nvidia for GPGPU type operations in things using OpenCL and the like. That is why the bitcoin miners rushed to buy R9 290s and 390s.Check out luxmark benchmark league tables and the AMD cards top the tables AMD even market the Pro Duo as for creative types rather than gamers. the power of those cards are ideal for rendering 3d graphics for CGI animation and the like. I am not sure how they do in GPU video encoding like quick sync on Intel iGPUs or NVENC on Nvidia cards. I know that AMD cards have a video encoding feature called VCE but I have not had any experience using it. As GPU encoding does not produce the best quality video, most NLE applications don't use it but some like Premiere Pro CC use openCL to accelerate filters while the CPU does the rendering. I would imagine that ReLive is using VCE though to encode the game recording just as the Nvidia equivalent uses NVENC

GTBTK got a reaction from Chaos_Sorcerer in Has there ever been a time when AMD's top offering was superior to that of Nvidia's?
That is certainly true. Pascal gains have come more from clock speeds than from some amazing new innovation other than die shrink that allows the higher clock speeds.

The only real exception to that is the implentation of pascals ability to use software to enable async compute that Maxwell lacks
