PopsicleHustler got a reaction from Cedar in Pc won’t boot
What about PWR connector? Have you tried shorting the pins on the motherboard to make sure that power buttons isn't faulty?

Get Kingston A400 480GB SSD instead of your current one.
Does that motherboard come with Ryzen 3000 ready bios? If not, get MSI B450 Tomahawk because you will have to update it yourself, and you cannot do it without older Ryzen CPU on the Asus board.
Oh and get lower wattage PSU. You don't need more than 550W.
As for the GPU, you should have enough money for GTX 1660 which will suit your needs perfectly.

If your PC shuts down for no reason (e.g overheating), then its most likely a PSU.

I'm really confused about the PSU right now. Its either EVGA G3 550W which is high end PSU, or EVGA 500W 80+ White which is garbage.
And since your PSU simply powers off when you hit a load, then I would guess its 2nd option.

PopsicleHustler reacted to minibois in Multi-GPU, mixed-GPU, question
The only reasons to keep it in the system would be:
- Dedicated NVENC card (although the 2070 Super with the new encoder could handle that very well on its own)
- Compute (like 3D rendering, F@H, etc.)
But you need a PSU fit for this as well though.
More likely worth it to sell the 1060, or keep it for a secondary build.

Chieftec PSUs are garbage. Get something better.

PopsicleHustler got a reaction from Flying Sausages in CPU intensive settings - Frostbite Engine?
Post Processing Quality and Ambient Occlusion are somewhat CPU heavy tasks. Frostbite engine in its core is super heavy on the CPU. You need at least decent 6 core/12 thread CPU for it to work properly.

I will probably wait for Asus ROG Phone 3. Samsung phones are in a state of stagnation since 8th gen.

These copy cats going after iPhone design is getting ridiculous. Are we seriously living in a day and age where companies have zero personality left?

All AM4 sockets are the same. You're doing something wrong or maybe there are some bent pins on the CPU.

Your temps are extremely high because your GPU is literally choked. Fans are almost rubbing up against the floor of the case with little to no room for fresh air to get in.
@SavageNuke That is H200, not H500.

Are you in the US? because that isn't a good deal, the 3GB 1060 never should have existed IMO.
