TheRedViper got a reaction from svmlegacy in Inverting cpu block flow
Hum looking at the installation manual, their summit block seems symetrical so wouldn't flipping the cpu block solve the issue? Like the water would still meet the VRM first but flipping the cpu block would place the inlet port towards the vrm?

It goes with the build, purely aesthetic purpose. I know a 480 rad would perform better.

TheRedViper got a reaction from Kukielka in [Build Log] Walletripper - Titan V / 7980XE / SMA8-A
I have the EVGA 1600W and although people told me i was insane, its not that crazy. I was supposed to run a sli setup, but due to stock issues i went with single GPU and im pulling about 950W from the wall. I suspect that I would have pulled about 1300-1400W if I ran sli so it wasn't crazy at all. Although your client runs a Titan V, so I suspect hell put a bit less wattage than I do, but still.

TheRedViper reacted to done12many2 in Highest safe max 7900x core temp
@TheRedViper
I'm using the same board as you. Make sure that you're increasing the CPU temp and power limits in BIOS before you start pushing your clocks. I suspect that's why your seeing a lower TJMax withing Core Temp.
Additionally, if you do not increase your power limits, disable SVID and run VCCIN at ~1.85v or higher, you will definitely "phantom throttle" without even knowing it. Your hardware monitoring software will show the same clock speed even though your CPU isn't actually running at the reported speed. This in turn impacts performance and returns low benchmark score despite having what you believe to be high clock speeds.
Is your chip delidded?
To change CPU power and temp limits, go into Exteral Digi+ Power Control within the Extreme Tweaker tab.
Set CPU Current Capability to 140% to 200%. 200% being the better option if your cooling is good.
Set CPU Power Thermal Control between 136 and 141.
Disable SVID to prevent throttling.
Set CPU Input Voltage (VCCIN) to 1.85v or higher, but try to stay below 2v.

Working on gpu while the shorter cables arrive. The card is one of the 5 Galax 1080ti 8pack limited edition. Cooler has an amazing look, but still switching to bitspower block.

Started the tubing process, which is the hardest part if you want a clean look as the measurements have to be within 1mm if you want to keep an orthogonal loop.
