@-rascal- would be correct, the cooler/shroud can be 3 slots, that is no issue. The issue is the IO plate at the rear of the GPU (where your display port, HDMI, etc are). If that has 3 slots to it as shown in the photos, it would not be compatible as the vertical bracket allows for slotting in of GPUs with 2 slot IO plates only. The cooler/shroud again though can be 3 slots without issues and we've used 3 slot GPUs before (as shown in the VPB installation guide with the ASUS Strix card) @TheRedViper.

Hello there, I was wondering if the Cablemod Vertical GPU bracket works with a 58mm wide card. On their website they say that : ''NOTE: This bracket effectively extends the length of your PCI-e card by 3.1cm. Please make sure there is enough clearance in your case before purchasing. This bracket is does not work with graphics cards with 3-slot PCI-e I/O shields.'' But in JayzTwoCents video about that specific GPU bracket, he installed an Asus strix 2080 which is 54mm which is technically not 3 slots but like 2.7 as they're calling it. 

 

If not, is there a Vertical GPU bracket out there that can support 58mm?

The card is 2-slots thick, but the cooler/shroud extends past it.

When it says "This bracket is does not work with graphics cards with 3-slot PCI-e I/O shields" is referring to an actual 3-slot GPU...like this one.

It PHYSICALLY takes up 3 expansion slots.

 

In any case, you can ALWAYS contact CableMods, and ask them about comparability / fitment of their products.

 

They are even here on the LTT forums.
