canadiansteve2 got a reaction from ChatDaw in Is this a good build
i would recommend getting a core 2 dou for mincraft. supposedly the i5 can't handle the bigger pixels. im assuming its because of the bigger l2 cache

canadiansteve2 got a reaction from angelmartin11 in Bios Start Page shows 6 keyboards
yeah that generally happens when you have 6 keyboards plugged in. i would check the rear end of your pc and see how many usb devices are connected. if there are 6 keyboards connected, that's your problem...

canadiansteve2 got a reaction from blnswamy in Bought 980ti but I don't see any difference from my old 780 (1080p, 60hz)
thats because the 780ti and the titan are the same except for memory and some cuda cores so of course the 780 is better than a 980

You can't make storage appear out of nowhere. The best you could do would be JBOD or RAID0 and get 15TB usable storage.
In RAID0 if any one drive fails, they all fail.
There's also RAID 1 where the data is mirrored (so two 5tb drives in RAID 1 would give you 5TB usable) and RAID 5 (parity) where three 5tb drives would give you 10TB usable and allow for a single drive to fail.

canadiansteve2 reacted to syfer in Western Digital HGST 10TB nas drive raid help
Hi I have 2 Western Digital HGST 10TB and I want to buy nas external drive for these Western Digital HGST 10TB but the problem is I cant seem to find one that works with this hard drive.
I was original thinking of buying WD My Cloud EX4 24TB and but not sure. I want to know what advise you can give me?
I want a nas for back up and steaming purposes so I think a raid 1 should be good in case one hard drives dies it does a raid back up to the other on so this way my back up still are ok was the route I was thinking of.
So need on first time buying a nas advice.

Basically any NAS will support those disks, just make sure you buy one with that comes with no disks since you have your own you want to put in it.

I see any recommendation of good company names then as I only know of the WD My Cloud EX4?
I want one with usb 3.0 and one that can be accessed from my network like phones, tablet and my laptop so that I can steam video to these devices.
any recommendation of good company to look at?
