It's time for a new battery that lasts a lot longer, charges a lot quicker, does not explode in your face and can be mass produced easily within a year. Get lithium batteries out of existence ASAP.

Why is it even there though. If people just accept it that allows them to proceed to do it more often. Better to kill it young than let it grow into something bigger.

What do you mean? Why would I wait 2 years to get the performance I want? Half the lifetime of a cpu (from when most people upgrade) right there 

No excuse for not updating the OP, and people are still posting the cached version even though the non-cached version has been up for days now.
 
It does not show up for me. In fact, I am 99% sure Google never list their cached sites in their search results. You have to go into a submenu to reach the cached page.

I am not visceral against AMD. I am against lies and fanboys, and as it happens a lot of AMD fanboys have come out of their holes, are lying and acting like idiots right now.
In fact, I have a 1700X system in my shopping basket right now. I am just waiting for third party benchmarks to come out and if they look promising I'll order it. I won't pre-order though because I am not a moron, and I am not going to pretend like Ryzen will be perfect and brush any issues or shortcomings under the rug.

sure it will be close, in some cases, others not. But you have to look at teh whole ecosystem. Look at the boards, the partners...
With this big a launch, you expect the board partners to bring their BEST boards out at launch. You know, the "Maximus EXTREME" brand. The top end boards. The expensive boards...
And what is on display? two tiers/generations behind intels current offerings... Sure there will be more feature rich boards eventually. But nobody is going to wait 6-18 months for a better board. They want RYZEN now, when there is hype.
 
RYZEN is doomed to flop. Even if the chip is pretty good, the boards, the overclocking, the actual TDP (please, as if 8 cores 16 threads is 95w in Prime95 or during Folding at home).  AMD also raised the bar for cooling. Given their decent stock cooling, you cannot just grab a 50$ cooler, because it will only improve things marginally, instead you need to go directly to 75-100+$ coolers... Which means any serious overclocking is going to cost you more then what you currently need on Intels offerings.
 
Just face it. RYZEN, IS, NOT, THAT, GREAT.

It's not something that's really even that big of a deal, not worth it.
