I actually feel bad for this guy. Clearly he's unqualified to make this tutorial video but I have a feeling it's not his fault. The Verge probably had this video on their to do list, no one picked it up, and then they assigned this to some intern, who probably didn't ask for it, last minute because Capital One already paid for it. I have a feeling he probably googled a bunch of stuff and had no time to really research the topic. The fact that he used LOL to benchmark the PC indicates this, probably from a Google search for popular games, because if you look at the actual game play, he clearly does not play at all. I hope the guy in the video doesn't get too much grief. The Verge on the other hand should have known better.

bendik1704 reacted to ChernobilChuck in Need picture of AM4 CPU + MOBO
It's not really, he has the cooler and will have the board and cpu soon but if he only sends the picture to them by then he will have to wait till the am4 bracket arrives, it's not like he wants multiple am4 mounts for his cooler.

that is very true. if worst comes to worst you might be able to ziptie is securely to the board. there is also probably an AM4 bracket for the CPU

I would go with either one of these builds. They'll both deliver much higher performance per dollar, drive the monitor at or near the 144FPS mark, and will be able to take advantage of the freesync support. On the AMD build you can drop the 1600 down to a 1500X to bring costs down a bit without impacting performance really. For the first build I picked out a Z370 board just because it wasn't much more than a B360 board and will allow you to drop in an unlocked chip down the road and get some overclocking done.
