Because NVIDIA doesn't want to. Easy.

GTX 780 is a lot more powerful than GTX 1050ti
    http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-780-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1050-Ti/2164vs3649

About on par with GTX 970
    http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-780-vs-Nvidia-GTX-970/2164vs2577

    And about 20% slower than a GTX 1060 6GB
    http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-780-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1060-6GB/2164vs3639

So for 1080p it's still a very good card that can play most games on high and 60FPS...that said, the performance comparaison in games is a bit worse than the numbers you see on userbenchmark because it's an older architecture that is not up to snuff with some new tech in games and driver optimization wise, but it's still a good card i would pick that over a 1050ti any day of the week. ( i had the MSI gaming 780 back in the day and it was a bloody good card, very quiet)

Oops, sorry I missed that. The 780 is better than any of those cards. If you check my graphic above from techpowerup's GTX 1060 review it shows the GTX 780 with about an 11% lead over the R9 280x, and the R9 280 is a cut down 280x. The HD 7950 is the original incarnation of the R9 280 with lower clocks. The GTX 780 smokes all of those cards you listed in that price range. I don't know if it's worth paying 35% more for the 1050 Ti over the 780 other than you'd be getting a much newer card. If it was a 15% difference in price I'd say get the 1050 Ti. If it was a 50% difference in price the 780 would be a no-brainer. At 35% I'd probably still lean 780 as long as you know the card is in good working order and the previous owner took care of it.

well it's running at 1163mhz in the video which is average clock for a 780...most of them can do 1200mhz+...this one was able to do 1225mhz but in this video i was using another profile i guess.

I would not upgrade the CPU now. I would keep the current CPU/Motherboard and upgrade them later when RyZen launchs.
If you are buying FreeSync Enabled monitor then you should consider buying an AMD graphics card. I would recommend RX 470 4gig.

Most hardcore overclockers still use PS/2 port in order to use an old keyboard that is %100 compatible with BIOS.

These monitors have two display inputs. One HDMI and one DisplayPort. I think you should not have any problem with two devices connected to the monitor.

King_Tuna reacted to NumLock21 in What does ''Overlocking'' mean?
Running over the advertised speed of a product.

e.g. your cpu has a stock speed of 3.5GHz or 3,500MHz
When you run it at 3,501MHz, that is call a overclock.

its because all the real hardware geeks have an old AF keyboard that they love the shit out of that they use when building PCs lol. also it helps to disable all USB connectivity when doing hardcore LN2 overclocking

Well we (other users in forum) need more information about your system and the PSU that you decided to use. "430W PSU" is just not enough information.

I just didn't like it at all,  the bios was annoying,  it didn't post fast,  it didn't recover from a bad oc,  it's came up with 00 post code when the cpu worked after in my msi and asrock board.

I have loads of Asus boards,  but I really don't think their z170 boards are good at all.

I've done configuring my BIOS to AHCI but I haven't done configuring Windows. I can upload a video If you guys want.

Windows won't boot when its original setting was IDE. You will need to redo the entire OS with ACHI drivers or try this method first
