Why are you getting a headset? You are paying a premium for an attached microphone and some other gimmicky features.
Get something like the Audio Technica ATH-M50s, and a Blue Snowball.

Both an excellent sounding pair of headphones, and an excellent sounding microphone. You even have money left over, buy some Pop-Tarts or something.

DT770s!
M50s are not very great to sit and listen to IMO

shaunphoto reacted to tobben in Looking for some feedback on my first build - Budget ~1600$
uhm everyone says it's fine so is there something im not seeing here? is there a harddrive in there? seriously man, you need more than 120 GB storage
and while the 212 evo is decent you might want to get something abit more beefy for the headroom? that's entierly up to you though, i guess it's ok if you are fine with the evo, looks like a fairly balanced build, a modular psu isn't as much about the airfllow as it's just alot easier and for the most part makes for a cleaner build, sure you CAN hide the cables but doesn't it seem better to simply plug in the cables you want and leave the rest in a bag?.

shaunphoto reacted to GamerDude in 4770k +290 vs 4670k+290x
Some people tend to forget that not all of us are from the US, a GTX780 costs as much as a 290X here in my neck of the woods.

I did a quick google search on the tvs your using and am i right in saying they are 1366 x 768 resolution. Cas thats a little dirty....Might wana buy a decent resolution monitor first before

600W will be "just" enough, I'd upgrade to an 850W+ if you want to add a second card for CrossfireX.

Unless its a really crappy psu you are good.
Just make sure it has some kind of 80+ certification.

Yeah that will be just fine for the upgrade

Maybe the PSU, 600w PSU is the recommended PSU for the r9 290x but it is always good to have a little more than needed but other than that you are good.

Why's that a valid reason to be against them? It's worth a try, we're not hurting anybody and we're voicing our opinion.
It's better than just sitting here and twiddling our thumbs, at least they get a better idea of what we want. Hell, it might not even show up until BF5 or the next iteration of the BF series but at least they know where the large majority of people stand on the idea.

Yes, the Dell U2312HM, U2412M, and the brand new P series that was just released (22, 23, 24inch) models (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/sna.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&~topic=snp_professional_monitor_offers), has fully adjustable stand including portrait and landscape mode.
If you look at the U2312HM, wait until you can find the P2314H or the P2414H (both 1080p) in the uk, if not out already.
The monitor is actually better than the U2312HM in every single way. It looks like that the U2312HM will be discontinued.
Here is what has been improved:
-> No PWM back light control (this is very good. You don't want PWM.. ASUS has PWM to control the back light brightness)
-> A bit faster real life response time
-> Different LG eIPS panel, that isn't plagued with manufacture errors (the U2312HM, was the early eIPS panels, which might explain why it had a lot of manufacture issues).
-> Reduce back light bleeding to very low levels
-> Super fast internal circuit, providing an impressive <2ms input lag. This beats nearly all TN panel, including gaming ones.
I guess the only "downside", is that it still uses USB 2.0 hub, which is a shame really. A new monitor, might as well put USB 3.0. Oh well.
Maybe they want to keep USB 3.0 feature exclusive, for now at least, for the UltraSharp series, and select S series monitors.

Hi,
I'm looking for a reasonably good ips monitor for photo editing, I have been looking at Asus and Dell. They both seem really good but I cant decided which one to go for or even if they are the best for my price range which is £2-300.
Thanks

I found this http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0084FNAB4/?tag=pcp0f-21
Very nice monitor, and it's on sale. Just gotta stretch your budget a bit, but it'll be worth it.

shaunphoto reacted to lachyman in What Reasonable GPU to get for BF4?
That's like a hour of well paid job or 2 of a normal job. €20 is nothing. Also there isn't anything cheaper that would meet his requirements, maybe the 7970 but here they are more expensive than 280X.
