Maybe the PSU, 600w PSU is the recommended PSU for the r9 290x but it is always good to have a little more than needed but other than that you are good.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

so maybe a 750w psu just to be safe?

OP I have to ask do you have plans to play things higher than 1080p and would you get another R9 290X  in the future ?  Also will you be putting these underwater ?  Will you be overclocking ?  If the answer is yes to all these look at a new psu.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

A 600W is more than enough as long as it is high quality. The manufacturers always over estimate to be sure.

What is the PSU model/brand?

pc power and cooling silencer mk iii 600w 80+ bronze

This is a really good PSU and it might just be good enough.
