Another option for recording audio outside of your camera would be some kind of Zoom recorder with a shotgun or omnidirectional mic. Depending on what kind of work you are doing, you could also use lavalier microphones. Rode makes a lav that plugs into a smartphone so you can record that way.

    Don't do it bro.
Wedding photography is not something you can just go in blind and hope for the best. It's a very important moment that you can not afford to fuck up. If he/she says they want a professional photographer then DO NOT ARGUE AGAINST IT. DO NOT TRY TO CONVINCE THEM.
It is incredibly disrespectful to tell someone what to do with their wedding. It does not matter how good you think you are at taking photos, if they want a professional photographer then let them. Both of out respect for the people getting married, but also because if anything goes wrong you will not be responsible. SD card died? Well good luck trying to explain to the people getting married why all the pictures, however good they were, are now gone. Missed a moment? Even if it was not your fault you missed it, they will think "if we had hired the professional we would have gotten a picture of that" and resent you.

You got some good looking landscape photos but taking pictures of people, especially at a wedding, is completely different.

Here is what I recommend you do, as a fellow hobby photographer that has attended two weddings.
    1) Be respectful. Don't tell the bride and groom what to do/don't do at their own wedding. When you get married you can decide if you want a professional photographer or not, but you should not try and convince other people what to do.
    2) Take your camera with you, and study what the professional does. Watching the pros in action is very educational. Don't get in the way though.

nickl reacted to LinusTech in @LinusTech Twitter Account Hacked
On June 28, 2016 the Linus Media Group domain registrar account was compromised.

The exact methodology of the "hack" won't be disclosed for obvious reasons, but I can assure you that despite any claims to the contrary, the appropriate safeguards were in place on our side, and as I type this Yvonne is having a very heated phone discussion with the 3rd party responsible for the breach.

Anyway, the thing most of you are probably wondering about right now is what this means for your forum account or personal information, and the answer is very simple:

    NOTHING.

The "hacker" simply changed the DNS settings in the dashboard and did not at any time have access to the linustechtips.com server. Any claims of a database dump are categorically false.

The compromised accounts - including Twitter - have been restored.

I hope this clears things up.

    Hi All,
Do you think that 2 1440p (25") monitors flanking a single 27" 4K monitor is too much screen space to practically use, or is it OK?

well they use the Sony mdr 7506 in studios so I can't see why you should not get them. I would stay far away from the m40. The k553 should also be good because they a very detailed and the HD 280 I am not sure, they would maybe be nr. 3 on my list.

    Here's what you need:

Camera -> (Micro HDMI - HDMI) cable -> capture card -> connection -> computer -> streaming software.

You just have to make sure the camera can output a live HDMI stream instead of only playing back what's already recorded on the memory card.

I would see @ALwin's guides about video camera vs DSLR.
If you want 120fps for 1080, it narrows your options quite a bit as for DSLR's/Mirrorless cameras...
Here are a few that might work for you I know of:
Pansonic G7 UHD @ 30/40p FHD @ 60p 3.5 mm Stereo Audio Input Sony α6300 UHD @ 30/40p FHD @ 60p 3.5 mm Stereo Audio Input GoPro Hero 4 Black Although its not a proper camera, it can do what you are asking for... UHD @ 30p FHD @ 120p No Audio Input (Requires external recorder...) Canon 70D FHD @ 30p 3.5 mm Stereo Audio Input Nikon D5500 UHD @ 60p 3.5 mm Stereo Audio Input Canon G1X Mk II FHD @ 30p No Audio In Canon G7X Mk II FHD @ 60p No Audio In I have recently looked into a slew of cameras and camcorders for the school I attend and have made a spreadsheet with lots of options. Link here.
I question why you need/want frame rates like 120fps.. what are you using this camera for?
Also, for the G7, the α6300, the D5500, and the 70D, you will need an external lens, which will cost you more money, but give you more creative flexibility if you choose to get into cinematography/photography.
For cameras that don't have an audio input, you will have to get an external recorder and rig up a microphone somehow, which would increase the cost of the setup.

The one that I have used was not able to stabilize past a certain point. If the difference between the angle of the handle and the angle of the camera was too high, it didn't transition smoothly and started jerking around.
Just from looking at B&H, I have found some from Steadicam, Glidecam, and Glide Gear. Your guess is probably as good as mine. Look around at your preferred retailer or on B&H and see what is in your budget, and make sure reviews don't suck. I would suggest that you look for test footage on which ever one that you want to get. Steadicam is the original company to make these things, and have a lot of the highest end ones, but I don't think that should make too much difference.

I am unsure about the difference in quality between the electronic one and the manual one, but I have used a motorized one a bit, and I have a few thoughts about them.
They stabilize well and are good at keeping the camera level. The way you control them is not as good as I would like, its a bit clunky and inaccurate. They have limited battery life, which if you are planning on using it for a long time, will not work... They have annoying limits on how far they can stabilize and the one that I used began to shake and go a bit nuts when I got close to the limit... it was not fun I would imagine that for if you are using a mechanical one with counterweights, you would need more practice with it to get as good as you would be on the motorized one.
Although both of these devices are completely out of your price range, here is a good video comparing a DJI Ronin and a Steadicam.
I would think that you would go with the non-electronic one as its cheaper, and it doesn't have any of the things with battery life or limits with how far it can go.
