That limitation is just based on the type of port used, which is why there are two different numbers for HDMI and DisplayPort. The HDMI support is HDMI 2.0b and the DP support is for version 1.4, but note that this also depends on the port on the motherboard. It looks like that motherboard is using the same ports as the max Intel spec, so you're good there.

It does support up to 144hz at lower resolutions, but I'm not sure what would let you do that?  I don't even think that CSGO will go that high on that iGPU?

Good to hear. I just saw that it's tough to get one. It was listed for 420€ now it's 520€. Gonna have to see if I still keep on it and try to get this one. But I think the alternative for me would be the 27GP850-B.

Yeah already send the GPU back. Hope RMA request will be fine. I hope for a repair/exchange but I believe in case they accept the RMA I might just get my money back due to availability. Living in Germany.
Here Warranty means: First year is guarantee, reseller has to prove you did the damage - Second year is slightly different, you have to prove that you didn't do the damaged to the product. Most stores are really fine here. RMA for us is more like having the option for exchange/refund.

If they are in the EU they can still do this after 30 days... it's called guarantee and lasts at least 2 years and it's actually the normal way to go, most people don't RMA here, you have a contract with the seller not the manufacturer, in most cases at least.

Damn this didn't cross the mind until now...but you already started the RMA....
Where did you buy the RTX 3090 from?
You are still within a 30-day period...depending on the retailer, you could just do an refund / exchange with the retailer / store.

Those pink squares are graphical artifacts, usually faulty GPU Memory related, etc.
Yes, looks like you'll need to RMA the card.

650w would actually be enough. Both 750w and 850w are a little overkill for a single GPU build, especially if you aren't extreme overclocking a 10900k and a 2080Ti. I'd recommend an Enermax Revolution D.F. or BitFenix Whisper M if they are in stock.

No, since the encoding is offloaded to the gpu's hardware encoder, it has little to no performance hits..

but iirc the elite is good, though the boards i recommended  above are all good.
yea i really recommend  waiting for zen 3 ampere and big navi and then make a list and check how they perform with this workload.

No. The 3600 kit if xmp is enabled will run at 3600.
That's the base speed meaning anything over that is technically not guaranteed but the imc is good enough to handle it.
They perform similarly in games. But I'm not sure how demanding/ cpu heavy simracing is.
As for streaming. Just use nvec, looks just as good as x264 and will offload some of the work from the cpu to the hardware encoder on the GPU.
It's an all around good board.
You could also consider the tomhawk and the vision G and the a pro and the gaming plus which are also good.

Yes. That just means anything over 2833 is technically an overclock and is not guaranteed but the imc should handle it just fine.

No the warranty will still be there.

I do recommend waiting for zen 3 And checking what it has to offer.
But without the GPU, budget for the build?

If you're waiting for RTX3000, you might as well wait for AMD Zen 3 coming out pretty much along it.

Leaks = 20% IPC improvements, boosts up to 4.9GHz. That'll definitely take the single core crown from Intel if it's true.
AMD already has better IPC than Intel anyway.

Yaerox reacted to xg32 in Low interest in i7-10700k?
if some1 already has a 9900k, the 10700k is a very minimal upgrade, if some1's building new then the 10700k is slightly better than the 9900k in every way.

The 10600k is the best bang for buck gaming cpu, the 10900k is intel's fastest offering atm, it's even binned over the 10700k. So the 10700k is in a slightly weird spot for gamers without a 2080 ti, the 10600k is enough for everything under a 2080S.

If you plan on going with Nvidia for your GPU, you can (and should) just stream using NVENC, instead of x264 encoding. It offers very good quality and takes the load off your CPU.
Unless the 10700 is cheaper than a 10600K, I'd just get the i5. You're getting an unlocked multiplier and I'm pretty sure higher clocks even out of the box, and 12 threads are plenty for gaming.

No, definitely don't do that. I'm just saying that if you see the 9900K in a benchmarking graph, then that's pretty much the 10700K.
The reason most Comet Lake-S reviews focus on the 10600K and 10900K is because those are the CPUs that Intel sent to reviewers at launch.

Yaerox reacted to 191x7 in Framedrops/High Framerate while CPU and GPU is not on full load
The 3DMark scores are in the range in which they should be (compared to similar systems with a GTX 1060), so, at least in those benchmarks, the performance seems right where it should be.

Don't forget, we're talking about a Haswell i7 (4 cores 8 threads from 2013) and a GeForce 1060. Both parts are considered low end these days.
But they are evenly matched for most cases.

Since you are running a 144Hz monitor, I would recommend upgrading the platform. A modern 6-core/12-thread (or better) CPU would provide a far smoother experience with a lot less framedrops, especially ih the newer games.

    no problem
also don`t worry about pubg , its just has alot of optimization issues, my brother got a 1080 and i7 6700k and it doesnt run smoothly for him, it has fps drops and the game has a issue where it stutters from time to time since december (  devs confirmed this was the games fault)

I would try to run battlefield on atleast medium settings tho, u have too much fps there :P, besides ur pc could handle it on medium to high, and u should get atleast above 60 fps
Edit: u should mark this post as solved if the issue is solved for u

So was it fixed? u tried other games too?
everything looks fine, temps are all good., same with the usage of cpu and gpu
frametimes are no where near 5000 which is great lol
guess it was that studio drivers eh??
Edit: also the more players there are , the more the cpu has to work, its normal to see some fps drops if the game is not optimised properly
