  1. A laptop will always use the internal display as the primary display, and only display bios on the internal display. The easyest way to get it to display bios and post screen on a external display is often to open the laptop and disconnecting the display cable from the motherboard
  2. I have never ever seen a cooling solution soldered down in a laptop, and I have repaired HP and Lenovo laptops for a living for the last 6 years
  3. 150 sek for a 2m cable is not expensive, but you can find cheaper. Biltema has one 2m for 40 sek
  4. The port needs to support the «Displayport over usb-c» standard, there is no mention of this in the documentation for the board. If the usb-c port support this standard it is normally marked with a display port icon https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB-C look under hardware support.
  5. Displayport to usb-c adapter only works if the port supports it, XII Hero does not
  6. Biltema has a 25m cat5e cable for 149sek. Biltema nettwork cables are good enough
  7. 10850k is 55 USD cheaper today. There is a lot of stores other then komplett, komplett is defenitley not «basically only one real store for computer parts», komplett is usually verry expensive, use prisjakt.no
  8. The official guide from HP tells you to use the UEFI diag tool (F2 during post) ram test in a loop until it turns off by itself https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04700771 look at the «Calibrate the battery manually» section
  9. You need to callibrate the battery. Charge the battery to 100% and let it sit with the charger connected for at least 30 min after it reads 100%. Then discharge battery completely before charging it to 100% again. This should help. The battery will loose the callibration when you nevet let it get to 100%
  10. You should be able to fit 4 drives at the same time, 2x2.5’’ + 2xM.2. Both of the M.2 slots support both sata and nvme drives
  11. HP Elite X2 G4 and HP Elite X2 1013 G3, both have 8th gen core i5/i7
  12. I think you have to replace the lcd front bezel and the webcam cable, and no, it will not worth it
  13. There might be a sticker on the box or the board with factory installed bios version, but you can build it, if it works, you are good, if it doesnt, use bios flashback to update it. Read the manual to find out how to use the flashback function
  14. This is what it is, its very common and nothing to worry about
  15. It is verry normal for a PSU to use the same ports for 8 pin eps (cpu) and 8 pin pcie power cables at the psu end. If the cable came with the psu it is safe to connect it to the ports marked with vga. Also if you look at the picture you can see that the port marked cpu and the vgs ports are keyed identical. That said, unless you are running a 5950x on ln2, you dont need the extra 4pin
