markoskerass got a reaction from Dackzy in Low budget headphones, is it worth the upgrade?
Hi, forgot to update the thread.
I bought the AKG K92s. So far I really like them, I have been using them for roughly a week. I'd say for the money that it was a really nice investment. I tried to compare them to my old earbuds and I was completely blown away by how much better these sound. I didnt know what I was missing this whole time.
Thank you for your help guys.

all of those 3 are good choices.
with expensive headphones its like with ips or 144hz. it doesnt make a huge difference if your honest but you just cant go back. 60-70€ is actually are pretty good budget for headphones because you get the best performance per dollar imo.

I am so jelly now.... I can only try cheap headphones out in my city.
I think the best ones are the Sennheiser and AKG's

You can get XLR to USB cables which would probably be a better idea

I dont know of any cards that take in XLR,  a proper XLR interface is so much better - also with these external devices you can get the microphone to mix into your headphones for real time monitoring - and control the mic mid stream/game

Would a sound card work? Maybe, I am not sure if they have any mic pre-amps as they are normally focused on audio OUT - but maybe something you can check on!

I've only used hacks on Minecraft, and I really enjoyed it tbh. You just hop on a server with no admins on, and boom.
The rest of the games (competitive ones) I've never used hacks and I dont plan to do so.

Try this driver for Windows 7, I know it's not a Windows 10 driver, but it may work.

markoskerass reacted to ALwin in What's a d tap connector?
A d-tap connector, like in the image shown above, is a special type of power cable used to connect devices to large V-mount or Gold mount batteries.  The image shown by Comic_Sans_MS shows the end of the d-tap cable that connects to the batteries.  The other end of the cable can be whatever shape/size of connection port the device uses, though it usually looks like the power connector for a laptop.

So for your IDX lights, as long as you find a compatible power source that will provide the right amount of electrical power you should be able to use it.  It doesn't have to be a d-tap source, it can be an AC adapter, a USB power station, etc. with a suitable connection and right amount of "juice".

Here's an image of a V-mount battery with a d-tap port.  The d-tap port are the two copper connection points on the lower side of the battery.

    Heres a little info:
So this is my current setup, it has an fx6300 on it running @4.7ghz with a hd5450 graphics card. Im still working on getting a new 2nd monitor and such, and this computer will be used for video editing, and 3D rendering. Also, excuse the poor quality, im still trying to get money to buy a panasonic ag-ac90.
Also, im still trying to learn how to use adobe premiere, since I wanted to move with a more proffesional software for editing, and this was the best timing so I can learn some stuff off it too (I was using sony vegas but not anymore, I want to learn how to use proffesional software and do this for a living in the future. I'll be obviously going to some audio and video production university and this stuff really excites me,)

If you plan to buy one of those drives, you can use it just for storage. Their performance is a bit worse than a blue drive, and dont expect to RAID those drives, because when they idle RAID systems think that the hard drive failed and its going to be a real mess.

Ok in that case, call the store and see if they have the other cameras I mentioned.  Sony CX900 or Canon HF G30.  Hopefully it will save you some money, because the camera models will not be as expensive as the Canon XA 10 and non XLR mics tend to be cheaper.

You also get better frame rates on the Sony and Canon HF G30. with slightly better sensors.

Overclockable monitors are a thing, trust me. You can overclock the refresh rate on a monitor. However i've no idea if you can overclock a 4k panel, but it might work the same way it does on 1080P.
