so kinda like these guys?: http://www.parvumsystems.com/products
Going by them, acrylic cases look fantastic with a bit of vivid colour on them, especially if it's slightly transparent, so it lets a bit of light through.

I was going to do black and white acrylic, fully modular. Its hard to explain quickly in a comment but at some point I'll be posting a build log for it which will essencially act as an online portfolio/live feedback source through out the build

I realised just after I published the poll that black and green was going to be a good combination :') with Nvidea and razor both having their colours schemes like that, but oh well :')
hahah :') missed that one too, sorry, like your style though

Thanks for all of the replies and suggestions,
Firstly, most of the suggestions that people gave me for specific products were great but the f***ing Australian dollar is so bad that everything that all of you suggested me is 25-35% more expensive for me. ;(
I did some internet scouting and I think that I might just be able to use Linus' exact tutorial except for the graphics which I'll use gtx 750ti. I think I may just have to keep a very keen eye out for sales.
Thanks for the help anyway.

The board should support it out of the box.

FAIL_bro777 reacted to MblaZe7run in *straw poll* Computer Case Sizes
Oh, I know what form factors mix and match with what cases. I was just saying that when you say "full ATX" that translates to ATX board in a full tower case to a majority of the community (enthusiasts as a whole). Mid ATX being mid towrr ATX build, cube ATX being an ATX build in a cube case. Trust me when I say I know my fair share about the dimensions and motherboard and case form factors.

FAIL_bro777 reacted to MblaZe7run in *straw poll* Computer Case Sizes
Take that with a grain of salt, mITX is growing quickly as a commonplace form factor. Lots of people are going small for many reasons. Personally, I'm doing so because college dorms are small, and bigger computers are more of a pain in the ass to haul around for LAN parties. Not to mention the bragging rights that, "sure, mine may be smaller, but it's all in how you use it."

Industry certifications is the way out of that particular loop, at least as far as I have been told.
Or internships, if you feel like being a slave.

I would get this if you are getting a new CPU (I think it is recommended)
I would not get the SSD, HDD and only get 8GBs of Ram.

Mini-DTX is actually my favorite... But I suppose mATX works. I'm good on my cable management and I like to make my builds as powerful as possible in the smallest form factor possible.

hey guys, I'm doing a Design Tech project in which I'm designing a computer case (keep an eye on the build logs section for my name), and for my research I need to know what the most popular case size is among "power users" of a PC (power user meaning gamers, editors, animators, 3D modellers, etc).
I'm sure you're all familiar with Straw Poll so It'll only take a few seconds, it will be much appreciated, Thanks

EDIT: Mods, it would be a MASSIVE help if you could pin this for like 24 hours or so just so I can get a nice large selection of people, Thanks
(Also please spread this around (without spamming), need a lot of votes for a proper overview of what people use, Thanks )

I like ATX since its the most universal and gives you them most room for regular builds, but I have more fun cramming a ton of hardware into mATX cases.

Ugh, I use:
ATX for my daily driver
ITX custom box for my upcoming HTPC
2U for my router
1U for my filserver (it's smallish, i know)
Considering a 3-4U for a new filserver or a huge eATX tower

It has to be ATX/EATX (most cases support both). But I'd love to see more M-ATX cases
