A good dose of gasoline and a matchstick, I can guarantee your acne will go away.
Along with some other stuff, like your face, but that's not important.

Remilia got a reaction from owen.fitzpatrick in Is it just me or people misunderstand what light gaming is.
I've never heard the term light gaming, I'd assume it mean games that causes a light load on the computer as opposed to bigger games that causes a heavy load.

"Casual gaming" is what you're looking for. It refers to short or light-hearted gaming sessions, there are games who are directly aimed towards it, but you can casually play any game. Although it's a bit misused and have gotten some unwarranted negativity, it's a much more known and clearer term than "light gaming".

I think the difference between casual and hardcore gaming is about effort. You can play a game for hours and it'd still be just casual gaming.
When I play League of Legends with my friends, I play it casually because being all serious will ruin the mood. When I play alone I'm trying my best to win, never giving up no matter how boring it is.

Remilia got a reaction from SuperCactus in Starcraft 2 not so popular among gamers?
The fact that the RTS genre has pretty much gone dormant(there's no such thing as a dying genre) is really hurting it.

The interest in RTS games are very small since the market is empty, the recent great RTS games can be counted on a single hand, and even that's a stretch. It kinda loses relevancy because of that, there's barely any games it can be compared to, so it's very easy to forget. Starcraft 2 isn't the problem, it's the lack of competitors. Honestly, it's pretty weird considering the technology is much better now than they were back in the days of the golden RTS games, yet today's games pales in comparison.

For reference, look at roguelikes. They used to be popular, but lost popularity and was forgotten, now in more recent years there have been some great roguelikes and the genre is back. Fighters are also worth mentioning, they're "repetitive", but has still managed to stay relevant to this day, partly because there's always competition between the big games.

I'm not saying this is the only reason, but it plays a big part.

Set up a time when you're going to start working, then try to avoid stimuli for about 30-60 minutes before the time you set. Work out, take a walk, listen to some music, anything that doesn't get you fired up or leaves you craving for more.

It should be easier to start and concentrate, if you're already stimulated then it's pretty likely that you want more of it thus making non-stimulating work harder to do.
I'm not going to say I know shit about the subject, but I've heard it works for some people.

Remember that the human brain doesn't function exactly the same for every person. Some people naturally crave more stimuli than others, it's not something you can just grow out of, although you can condition yourself.

It's a third person shooter, not that long, but the story is goddamn good for a modern military shooter.

Remilia got a reaction from DigitalHermit in if a prison life kinda game would of been made who would you like it to be made from? Rockstar? or naughty dog? or other?
A true prison life style game wouldn't really work with an open world. Remember, prisons is very restricted. If you give the player a lot of freedom, it's going to ruin the immersion, and if you restrict the player too much, it's just going to get annoying.

I think a heavily story driven game with well designed characters, scenes and interactions would work better. A well written dialogue system with decision making could also make it interesting.

Personally I'd rather see a prison life game set in a "prison village". There are some prisons in third-world countries where the inmates live somewhat daily lives inside the prison walls. They're not nearly as restricted as modern prisons, it's pretty much a place to dump criminals. This setting would work with an open-world game since there could be all sorts of interesting people forged by the "anarchy prison". The in mates could be all sorts of people, it'd be interesting since the prison is always watching over them, indifferent to the lives of the inmates and extremely hostile against those who they perceive as a threat. Another thing about this setting is that you can make a culture where the prisoners have to fight for their survival. Trying to be a "good guy" would make you an easy target for brutal personalities and greedy gang lords, effectively giving space for both conflict between characters and developing the main character.

He may downloaded it from gog, they sell games without DRM, so it'll be like games you pirate.

The gameplay itself is pretty good from what I've heard, but it suffers from balance issues and lack of features to carry the game. It was a failure because of marketing, monetization and pants-on-head retarded decisions.

I don't think it's worth buying because the community is pretty much dead if I'm not mistaken, and you know, muliplayer only.

Anyone here watching Gangsta? If so, what are your thoughts on it?
Personally I really like that "urban culture" style or whatever it's called. The characters and setting seems cool, the main story hasn't really kicked in though, so can't really judge that aspect yet.

Also, is any of you following Bleach? Is the thousand year blood war arc ever getting adapted to the anime?

I'm gonna ask the opposite, why should they limit themselves to consumer grade technology only?
If they want to do videos about a cool device or piece of tech that they think is interesting and fun, then that's more than enough justification.

They're not a group of knights that have vowed their lives to serve the consumers after all.
