That's just filthy video. Everything looks filthy here ...
I would buy new one and clean your PC once in a while please.

You can blow compressed air inside without opening.
This doesn't even look like a standard ATX PSU. I don't know what it is. Judging by the amount of dust I assume it's old. I'd replace it. (The whole PSU)

Don't go for the 3GB model... Go for the 6GB... If you can stretch a bit further then go for a mid range 1070 card. It will be a much better investment and you'll thank yourself later.
EDIT: I switched from the 3GB to the 6GB model within about a month of having my PC and the 6GB is far better for 1080p, However, like i say, may want to consider a 1070 for 1440p

You have to update your bios with the i3 6100 first, and then install the kabylake processor.

    A Ryzen 5 1600X will not bottleneck a 980ti.

    I would recommend getting a 16GB DDR4 3200 Ryzen Certified kit.

Ryzen loves faster memory, and 3200 is the sweet spot where in some games you will see a 10-15fps difference because of the RAM speed.

I would suggest getting a 1600 and doing an overclock. The included Wraith Spire Cooler will be adequate for starting for sure.

As for the motherboard, I would recommend the board I have in my signature, just for upgradability in the future.

Some people may argue with me on that point, but if you want to be able to upgrade to Zen + or Zen 2 in the future, going X370 will be the better bet.

Otherwise, the ASUS B350 STRIX is a good choice as well with Ryzen 5.

Obligatory "wait for coffeelake" since it releases tomorrow.

You would not see a big difference with a 7700k, but something like a 8700k or 1800x (although a 1700 would be better price/performance) would increase your multi-threaded performance.

Cgomolak reacted to TheNaitsyrk in Which CPU and MB to get
There's no need to upgrade. You'll not see any significant benefits from upgrading to 7700K, however if you're upgrading to 1800X then you'll see huge jump in multi performance.

I'd say save the money and go for the one without factory OC. My Asus GTX 1070 Dual card also doesn't have factory overclocks, but by overclocking myself I can still get 2060MHz stable, so factory OC or not doesn't give better overclocking headroom.

It's a 4790K system though, so he could get a good amount. The CPU alone goes for about $220-$300 on Ebay.

Do you need a new setup? The 4790K hasn't lost much to the 7700K, it's still a beast CPU.

Maybe it needs more than 3gb of Vram, which would cause a bottleneck as it transferred data from the normal ram in order to render each frame. Look at a graph of Vram usage with something like MSI Afterburner to see if it's being maxed.
