The reason the pricing is high on AMD cards is because they're selling!
They're still a good choice and in many cases represent a better value for money than an nvidia equivilant.
They won'd need to "answer to Maxwell" until their next generation of card is ready, which will probably represent a better value option for the enthusiast.

tbh, at this price point the MacBook Air is at such a competitive value compared to ultra books at the market right now. Other ultra books with similar price point tend to have a mixture of both aluminium and plastic. The battery life on the 13 inch is perfect for taking notes all day

I heard that the ath-anc1's are pretty good, i don't own them though, I do own ath-m30s and the sound quality is amazing so this should sound no different.

Whatever the fuck i want cause i'm sheltered and spoiled.
 
OT: I'm getting workout clothes, dress clothes, Monitor, Keyboard, Mic, Headset (all of which add up to over 1000$) Then buying the rest of my PC next year when broadwell and maxwell come out. & ddr 4 with the mobo to support them.

Just get an Asus t100, it is cheaper then the surface pro, and runs full windows.
 
Also check out the hp omni 10. pretty much all these bay trail tablets will be much better then these rt tablets.

In my opinion I suggest people to never fall into the pc gaming trap, the 7950 is plenty fast enough. If I where you I would either save up the money, or spend it on steam games. 7950 to 780 is not that big of a boost, and in my opinion is not worth the money. 

To be in the pc money hole, you'd first have to have money to throw in said hole

It is always worth a try, I use an old audigy 1 that I got from an old computer, and I think it sounds better than my onboard audio.

I'm rich so I just have to ask my parents for something and they give it to me.
Just kidding, I got some money for my birthday, and made the rest babysitting. Now I am hoping to make more money when I sell my AMD stocks at $7 in a years time (it is going to happen)

To be honest I hate nvidia, tek syndicate said "they play dirty", and I really agree with them. In fact they actually are not the "maket leader", intel is because everyone uses onboard graphics. AMD actually has a bigger market share thanks to its apus. However I find that Nvidia always trys to pretend that they are the "market leader", when in fact they are not. People, assume that nvidia could crush amd at any time, but I dont think that is true, in fact I think it is the other way around.
