I had this problem before. The motherboard was shorting out because I screwed it right into the case. So someone shoud add "make sure you didn't screwed the motherboard right into the case and shorted out the system"

OK, I wish I got to this thread sooner.

No switch is "made for" gaming or "made for" typing. That is the wrong mentality to have. It's for what you like typing on. Check out the link in my sig for info on switches because having that mentality may get you a switch you don't care for. You may not like browns or reds because you find them too light. Maybe Clears or Greens are for you.

So all in all, before buying the Corsair keyboard because people parroted each other, check with me or @TheFlurryGames as we can both help you out

Also an SSD does not affect gaming performance, so it would be better to put that money into a better graphics card.

The difference between 60hz and 100+hz monitors are night and day. Once you get used to the fast refresh rate, 60hz is a choppy pile of garbage.

It doesn't matter if your pc can show more fps, if your monitor can't handle it. You will only be able to see 60 frames per second on 60hz.

Good job! I don't think you will use 32 gb ram for gameing but since you are in your budget, you can go for it. Or you can get 16gb and save money for a custom liquid cooling system

    Hey,

Sorry for the bad choice of words. Of course the i7-4970K and the GTX 750 are compatible. What i meant is that the Intel i7-4790K is an up-to-date high end CPU while the GTX 750 is a mere mid range GPU from the last generation. But if you plan to upgrade the GPU later on that is totaly fine and you can just ignore what i said before.

What we are trying to say is if you don't plan to upgrade your GPU it would make sense to save a few bucks on the CPU and spend this money on a more potent GPU. This would result in an overall better performance for gaming. You could (as Epic_Nex mentioned) switch in a i5-4690k. Totally fine for gaming and video editing, too.

I've never heard of that happening to a PSU before but if it hasn't damaged anything get then I don't really see a problem, I leave my PC on 24/7 and nothing has ever gone wrong so I don't really see too much of a problem with everything being on all the time. Just unplug it from the wall if the noise bothers you

PS: Try making sure that everything is plugged in correctly and securely just in case.

Yup, my 4770k overclocks like shit

Go for the 4790k, it's better thermal dissipation means what ever cooling you go for will be more effective meaning the fans wont have to spin as fast leading to  a quitter PC and better overclocking potential.

4790k, no real reason to get the 4770k unless you can get it way cheaper.

go for 4790K, 4790K has better TIM and stability rather than 4770K. in case of motherboard, use Z97 one, whis is better compatibility with Haswell-R processor (4790K is Haswell-R processor) and can be upgrade able to broadwell cpu (5770K perhaps?)

    4790k is the superior option.

The 4770k has issues with sloppy TIM work making the temperatures much higher than normal and often would thermals be the barrier before voltage. Intel then came with the Haswell-Refresh series (which includes the 4790k) which improved the TIM among other things and brought the temps down significantly. This also allowed for a significant increase in base clock and turbo clock speeds.
