Go to solution Solved by Wtalk2,

unfortunately I'm not. How bad is it? Should I get a new one asap?

I've never heard of that happening to a PSU before but if it hasn't damaged anything get then I don't really see a problem, I leave my PC on 24/7 and nothing has ever gone wrong so I don't really see too much of a problem with everything being on all the time. Just unplug it from the wall if the noise bothers you :P

PS: Try making sure that everything is plugged in correctly and securely just in case.

Hi. I bought a new power supply and this was my first time upgradeing anything in my pc by myself. When it gets power everything starts for example: dvd drive, fans working at 100% hdd starts etc. What did I messed up?

There is most likely an issue with your PSU, are you able to RMA it??

Are the fans connected via Molex (directly to the PSU) or to the motherboard (where the cpu is at). If it's molex maybe your PSU just always supplies power to your parts like USB ports etc.
