no its kingcry's score and he was using an i7 :P he is like the LTT master of 3d benchmarks and overclocking gpu's

Knowing @KingCry he probably had his i7 at 4.8-4.9GHz during that run, and he was running a custom bios with a little bit more voltage being pushed. Valley loves high single-threaded chips.

you could probably go higher with a custom bios. but that is a good improvement again. an intel cpu would give you a big boost as well.

Windows 10 + Valley = Scores all over the place. At least that's from my experience. Me going from windows 7 to windows 10 made my score go from 3085 to 2.8-2.9k...

that is a shame, are they both samsung or just one card? also have you got a higher res monitor cos 1440p and 4k are better representation for sli 980 as 1080p gets a bit of a cpu bottleneck.
