Alright I thought I add my scores as well. Bought me a 5960X today. Thus I´m still in a dialing and tweaking in process this was an okay result. Only 4.5GHz and 2400MHz RAM clock. First tests showed 4.7 - 4.8GHz max should be realistic with this sample :) .

make sure you oc that ram. someone got 3000mhz out of a 2400 kit earlier with stock timings

That´s actually a 2800MHz kit :). But give me some time hehe I just started working on it. And I will need to sell my 5930K now... I think if I´d ask for 300 USD it shouldn´t be too hard to get rid of it, hopefully, or I sell my HTPC and make a bad ass HTPC with that 5930K :D .

Seriously I have a buddy that wants to buy his 12 year old son a PC soon, and he would be interested in my HTPC (I mean an i5 wouldn´t be bad for a 12 year old lol). So I could buy a AS Rock or MSI SLI and a cheap DDR4 kit and keep 1 of my GTX980s when the Titans come out... actually muahaha thinking about that makes me want to do that even more lol :D.

i don't know whats going on here. can cool a 3770K and i5 2550K on 1.62v no problem, but these celerons just put out so much heat.  :(

ya when ever the asus board restart I get the "cpu over voltage" error. So I add more volts

cpu over voltage error aka not enough volts. its very annoying i have to say. i would try my other cooler which has a different mounting system, but its on the pentium G3258 and i have to take the entire motherboard out to change the cooler, because the case doesn't have a cut out on the motherboard tray and i've got sli cards and all the cables are tied down nicely with cable ties :(. anyway. its mildly cold here (1c) so i'll have another go at my E8400. it wasn't liking R15 last night at all. i was getting a lot of 0x0000050 BSOD codes and cinebench errors :/. another thing is that i have ordered 2 pentium dual core E6000 ES from the us last night :D .

i was just wishing to get x101 and x124 but i was blessed with x03b x050 blah blah.

 

-15c here..... finally, been really warm here lately.

 

gonna have another crack at the 4790k and z97 formula since its cold. prolly end up doing my asus z97 review while im at er.
