I think people are extremely overreacting.

The game is $120 if you want more than 4 underwhelming maps.

The game is $120 if you want more than 4 underwhelming maps.

Correction. 4 worlds. 12 maps total. 4 maps per world, with an overarching theme.

If you are going to shit on the game, at least get your facts right.

Frankly this entire topic seems pointless. This is called an endorsement. It's marketing 101, and is a 100% normal part of marketing a product.

You approach a public figure and ask "hey, would you like to endorse this product?".

They reply with yes or no.

This is not unethical. The band is not part of games journalism or a YouTube channel that could claim bias.

It's weird how your argument has 2 companies that do reskin games (Ubisoft, Activision) and 1 that doesn't (Bethesda) it kind of messes with the effectiveness of your point, you should adress that - as it stands it's neither sarcasm nor truth.

Bethesda doesnt reskin games, it reskins engine!

I must have missed the other maps, then. Their underwhelming map design and the rebels getting camo... If you buy this game then so be it... You're just not worth my time to argue with if you can't see how you're wasting your money.

I'm not planning on buying this game at all. I never have, and never will. It lacks singleplayer story campaign, and I don't play many multiplayer games. Furthermore, SW:Battlefront 2 was not very good (The campaign was a joke, and space battles were utter shit). There is way too much nostalgia and nose coloured glasses on about the old Battlefront games.

The fact of the matter is, the quality of this game has zero to do with the topic. The lead for Breaking Benjamins was offered an Endorsement deal, and he freaked out about it. Musicians get offered them all the time. It's up to the individual musician to determine if the product they are asked to endorse is good enough for them to say yes. When they say no, it's generally just a no. Not an overblown media madhouse about a non-existent problem.

Is the game good? The consensus is no, it's not very good.

But let's leave that to the game reviews and gameplay footage to determine. I sure as hell wouldn't take a musician's word on whether a game was good or not. They're not exactly industry experts.

For me I'm really enjoying it, but that's my opinion. I really couldn't care less what anyone else thinks about it.

I laughed so hard when I saw the video. Funnily enough it came after posting this and he's pretty much pointing out the same things I've said about the game (as well as what others have said)

Battlefront (the new one) was the only beta I have ever played, that I actually didn't like. I might have grown up from video games, but it was too repetitive, and so god damn boring. Get killed from everywhere, no real tactics involved.
