Any free email services that have a higher email size limit?

DarkEnergy

I'm not sure where to post this.

I'm looking for a free email service that can send more than 35mb at a time. Here's the thing. I'm trying to send pictures to a friend. They're on my computer and I want to send them in a text message but copying them to my iphone or using iTunes will send a smaller, compressed version of the picture which is apple's fault. (Yes, really.) The only way to save the full size image is to email it and save the attachment. Well, If I have quite a few images, this would result in quite a few emails at once.

Unless there's another way to save a full size image? iOS still resizes the image if it's downloaded from a cloud app.

You could use something like GoogleDrive or DropBox?

I already tried. It's in the post at the bottom.

You can send files via Dropbox. You could even use a torrent.

Dropbox's space limit is horrible, I ran out of space like 2 years ago. Why would I torrent my own pictures? I would have to set it up and everything.

well downloading from an email attachment is the same as downloading from google images which is also the same as downloading from google drive

so even if you do get an email with the image over 35MB it will get resized anyway

so this is a problem with your browser or OS

because google drive should work perfectly

iOS handles email attachments differently. I find it hard to believe both my iphone 4s on iOS 7 and my iPod Touch on 8.4 is corrupt.

Upload them to a cloud site and share the link with your friend, then it's up to him to download.

I am a bit confused with your answers. Cloud drive where suggested because you can access the files via an app, for example OneDrive as a iOS OneDrive app, where you can access uploaded images on the service from your phone, and have pictures you take with the camera of your phone sent to OneDrive.

They are many cloud storage services, and all approximately the same size, and those smaller ones have things to get extra space for free, like discovery the service, or recommend someone for the service, etc.

An alternative choice for a limitless everyone is to host your own cloud storage. But that is time consuming to setup, you need a system running 24/7, and a static IP or one that rarely changes. If you are interested have a look at: OwnDrive. It is completely free for personal usage, and have iOS and Android apps for 1$ I believe.

That's a good idea, but my friend doesn't really have a working computer. :(   He would have to download it on his iphone which would result in the same photo resizing issue.

I do use cloud apps for iphone pictures and whatnot. But the pictures I'm trying to send aren't taken from a phone.

Well that's it, it doesn't matter. You can share a folder on OneDrive and have the sender upload it there, for example.

If it is your picture, you can put it in your OneDrive folder on your system.

Whichever the case, it will be accessible from the app from your phone for the respected service, in the above case: OneDrive.

Once again, you're saying both my iphone and my ipod touch are problematic? That would be pretty rare. If you have an iphone, download an image from a cloud app. Look at the picture you know is a specific size before downloading it. Then look at the picture's size of the downloaded one. They are different. I found this out when I had posted a question regarding why zooming in on a picture at a certain % is blurry on my iphone but clear on my computer.

Gmail allows you to send files of any size through google drive. Or you can just share a dropbox or onedrive folder.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

I don't have an iPhone or iPad to help you out, but it should work. You should see a thumbnail of your images.

It might take a moment for it all to sync maybe?!

It finally loaded, it just took a long time. What you said might work, my friend would just need to get a microsoft account and use onedrive.
