Is there actually any good.... "apps" on the W10 app store?

kaylexmorgana

So I took one for my team and installed it. on my laptop only. not main machine of course.

the only thing remotely good I can see is the xbox app for streaming. but alas that doesn't seem to work for me at all. I guess because I am on wireless?

but is there anything actually good? games?

For music-creation peeps, MetroTuner  ModTuner is pretty good when paired with a decent microphone.

I use it to tune my grand piano.

edit: fixed the name

Yes, there are fun games. Mostly games that can either be on a tablet or not. Here are a few of my favs.

First, non games:

Mail

Weather (or any weather app that you like from the store)

Groove music(yes I like it and use it)

Album Releases (check this out. It connects to your local or groove music account and tells you the latest albums released from the artits you have)

iheartradio

tunein

musiXmatch

twitter

Instapic(3rd party instagram app)

Facebook

Sway (an office app that is an easy way to share pictures by easily making them into somewhat like a powerpoint but easier and really nice)

Sports

There are others but Ill start with those.

Simple games:

Microsoft Solitaire Collection

Microsoft Mahjong (I don't play it but it works well)

Pinball FX 2

Microsoft Sudoku

Uno & Friends

Microsoft Minesweeper

Wordament (it's like boggle and def fun)

3D Chess Game

Guess The Song - Music Quiz

non simple games:

Shadow Fight 2 (fantastic game. It's a fighting game like Mortal Kombat and really cool concept)

Asphalt 8: Airborne

Modern Combat 5: Blackout (probably seen it for phones. Now run it well with mouse and keyboard or controller)

Despicable Me: Minion Rush

Sonic Dash

Hungry Shark Evolution

Star Wars Commander

Cut The Rope (yep it's on windows 10. Probably not what you're looking for but still a fun game)

Fifa15 Ultimate Team (the mobile version that is free is on pc)

Halo: Spartan Assault ($4.99 a 3rd person halo game)

Halo: Spartan Strike ($5.99 the sequal to Spartan Assault)

Check out the top games or top apps in each category

Also, check the store in the future because developers will be able to have win32 apps in the store as well for pc. So instead of going to tons of websites you will be able to go to the store instead.

Windows10/10 best app. I was actually hoping for the app version to work because the desktop version nags me.

Other than the apps already on Windows 10, I haven't found any good ones yet.

Well, there's the iFruit app for GTA V. It isn't really "good" - it's works the same as the android version.

Press the download button?

That just downloads the "Desktop" version, not the app version that Windows 8 had.

The Skype "app" is just a download button in Windows 10.
