Heard it before. It's a really good and valid speech, unfortunately in this day and age laziness has the better of the 1st world countries, which will forever prevent anything from changing.

First world democracy (at least the US) was not suppose to be a lobby fest of interest groups benefiting the few. It was designed with the ideal that representatives would be qualified statesmen, not career politicians, with the interests of all common people in their hearts and who would come to more logical conclusions that the masses may not be equipped to decide. Sad that it didn't turn out that way, where social progress is legally stunted for no sane reason and that the heavier an industry lobbies the more powerful they become.

It's an anti-Nazi movie from 1940. He (played by Chaplin) is a barber who is masquerading as the dictator and gives a speech about a change of heart.

Announcing that he (apparently Hynkel) has had a change of heart, he makes an impassioned plea for brotherhood and goodwill. He addresses a message of hope to Hannah, in case she can hear him. Working as a slave-labourer, she is astonished to hear the broadcast: “Look up, Hannah. The soul of man has been given wings, and at last he is beginning to fly. He is flying into the rainbow — into the light of hope, into the future, the glorious future that belongs to you, to me, and to all of us.”
