I wanted to run some tests with the new build, and see what temps I could get. So I did just that. I set a custom fan curve to Ramp to 65% max. Overclocked +225, +500 at +37mv.

 

This is on reference coolers... no waterblocks or aftermarket air coolers.

 

Here was the results running Firestrike.

The score may have been higher, but it does dip when you screenshot. With said custom curve, and, I'll admit, a lot of airflow in the case... The temps are a very respectable level.. No issues here.

I'm not worried about thermal throttling, but I am worried about how noisy it would get to prevent it.

It didn't ramp that high, for the most part. It did hit it occasionally, but not all the time. Watching Precision... it was around ~45% the majority of the time, or only about 2000rpm

Main clock above all else, in 99% of tasks. I don't want to dial down from 4.7 to get a higher cache necessarily.

1.383 gets me stable all the time... but I can dial it down to 1.31 for games and such, but there's no point.

 

And it goes to 5000rpm at 100%

Not on these. They can go to 100%.

5000RPM sounds... like a jet. But 65% isn't terribly loud. (Surprisingly)

Since when is too much memory a problem.  Just a couple years ago, people said 2GB was good enough, now people don't accept anything lower than 4GB.  12GB just means you'll never run out, even while playing Shadow of Mordor with Ultra textures.

I can run pritty mutch anything with my GTX760 these new tech are for riches, be happy with 1080p because im that die hard gamer that 1080 qwality is good eneugh.

 

I dont see the diffrence between Medium High and Ultra, honestly.

I run DSR 2x at UW 1440p... so what about not enough?
