You dont need to run Prime95 on a locked processor. Yes the 212 Evo will keep it cool since it cant overclock anyways

Remember a wise man once said, "You'll most likely hear/see more bad reviews from products than good, because if they get a good product, they won't bother to write a review, and if they got a bad product, they'll complain about the product" ~ SoftenButterCream

I will run Prime to see how good it is under unreal loads so he knows how good it is for his OCable i7

Nh-d15, dark rock pro 3, cooler master v8gts vapor chamber, thermalrights stuff for air

(any cooler in that pricerange will perform on the same level basically, differences are the looks and how theyre balanced towards performance/loudness)

I will not mention that custom loops are theb est way to cool your pc and i will not list AIOs like the Kraken x61 because you posted in the Air-cooling section :D

Using a Noctua NH-D15 for my 4790k

~25°C Idle

~55°C Prime95 load for half an hour

Safe to say, I am very happy with it.

I say whatever 120mm air cooler is a cheapest with a good fan. Typically people post the 212+ by coolermaster. Anything in that form factor does the same thing with Arctic Silver 5. The original 120mm air cooler is the Thermalright ultra 120 cooler that everybody copied.

Can't say best, my experience with anything else is nil, but the Enermax ETS-T40 is pretty darn awesome for $40.

CPU: i7 7700k @ 4.9GHz Cooling: NZXT Kraken X62 RAM: 16 GB GSkill Trident Z RGB GPU: Sapphire Nitro R9 390 Case:Phanteks Evolv TG

a month ago I had the same problem, but I had other priorities, for me it was silence and performance (the price wasn't an issue and I OC'd my cpu from 3,5 to 4,5 GHz) I considered: Cryorig R1 Ultimate/Universal , Phanteks PH-TC14PE or my favourite Noctua NH-D15 (have this beast, quiet like a whisper, love it) the beQuiet Dark Rock Pro 3 is a good cooler also, keep in mind that You need a low profile ram with all those coolers

we are eternal, all this pain is an illusion...
