Car makers using fake engine noises

When a car engine rumbles to life, it's music to the ears of many car enthusiast, as it's associated with performance and power. But as car engines are becoming more fuel efficient, it's also becoming more and more quiet. So quiet that, the mighty rumble of the V8, may not be from the engine itself, instead it's enhanced through artificial noise and other tricks.

Just no, if the car sounds like shit it sounds like shit you dont alter it. Also a mustang should have a V8 not this ecoboost BS.

Yes they have been doing this for years. And they say an auto enthusiast can tell the brand of car from the engine noise alone, which is why they want to create an iconic sound that people can associate with their brand.

Like engine noise really matters. It's just wasted energy that could otherwise be moving the car.
