GPU too close to CPU cooler?
Holy cow, your rig looks beautiful. Is that the Sabertooth Mark 1 with a Gigabyte 780Ti? Amazing.
I believe it's so close because the graphics card has that awesome backplate. Is there only one way to attach the fans?
Thanks It's actually an Asus Gryphon P97 and a 780GTX Ghz Edition. I would have grabbed the Sabertooth but my local computer store had the Gryphon on sale for $50 cheaper. You probably can't see it in the picture but all of my HDD's are located in the optical bays so those two industrial Noctua's in the front can blow air onto/directly under the GPU, it stays super cool and I've been able to overclock it pretty crazy If enough people are interested I might do a rig overview soon!
For those who were wondering what I did with the cardboard - I cut out a piece of my graphic's cards box and put it in between the metal bars and the GPU. works perfectly! The GPU actually has a metal backplate but I figured better safe than sorry. Thanks to everyone who posted in this thread for your help!!!
