Nice looking boards but I am not choosing MSI for motherboards.  Gigabyte, Asus, and ASRock are motherboard manufacturers I would look at before thinking of getting MSI.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

Where are Asus with their teases?

Don't they want hype for their products?

I also find it interesting how no one has leaked any pictures of any X99 Asus board.

I think the plus looks better than the xpower.  I mean, to my at least the xpower looks like its cheaply made.  I know its not, but it looks like it.  The heatsinks look like they are made of plastic.

Do X99 boards not have SATA express? Or are we just not seeing anyone give a damn about implementing them?

Are you blind?! These boards both have a SATAe port on them :P. Though frankly we should stop caring. Leave 2 SATA 6Gbps for spinning rust big storage and bring on a connector using the PCIe protocol.

SATAe is obsolete from the start, its just too bulky when you have M.2 on the same protocol, with more bandwith, and a smaller form factor

This is bad. Now I'm agreeing with YOU. But it's so true. SATAIO is done. Bring on the PCIe-micro ports (m.2 is mini) on the side of the board where SATA used to be, and have them available in 1-lane (spinning rust), 2-lane (entry-level SSDs) and 4-lane (extreme SSDs) configs based on the PCIe 3.0 standard, color coded in white, gray, and black, or perhaps using letter stampings idc which. Someone can come up with a cheap adaptor for older SATA drives.

It does have SATA Express. You just didn't look hard enough to spot the connector. Yes, it is in a stupid location:

I don't know why, but the XPOWER doesn't look that great for me. I usually loved MSI Xpower and Mpower designs, but now it's just not that attractive. The X99S SLI PLUS looks great though
