Are these good fans to put on a rad?

I found these fans on frozencpu.com was wondering if anyone had personal experience with them (i have to be honest and say i have not been interested in water cooling until recently and so i dont know if these fans would be good). From what i can tell they should outperform sp120's in every way (again i dont know much about these things so i might be completely wrong).

I would appreciate if someone could tell me if which fans would be better for a pull setup through 45/60mm thick rads.

If you're going to do a custom loop, and you have lots of radiators, go with SP120, they look great, and undervolt them, they perform like shit when undervolted, and are loud as fuck when running at standard volts.

If you're running like a single 240mm radiator or an AIO, then get genthle typhoons are noctua nf-f12s.

How the fans look aren't very important to me, but i do want high performance and low volume, i am working without a ton of rad space so i want good performance and noticed that the akasa fans were quieter, higher cfm, and more static pressure. would the fans be better performance wise?

I've heard good things about the performance of Alaska fans but I know nothing about how loud they are.

Why do you always die right after I fix you?

Noctua's

Of fractal fans

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Noctua-NF-F12-PWM-SSO-Bearing-120mm-4-pin-PWM-PC-Computer-Case-Fan-/231203216063?pt=US_Computer_Case_Fans&hash=item35d4c91abf

again it seems to me that the akasa fan slightly outperforms noctua

look under specs, supposedly they are really quiet

Well if were just talking about static pressure optimized fans, Corsair SP120 are on the bottom of the performance chart. Get the akasa if you can't get gentle typhoons or noctuas.

Noctuas thing is, performing really well while running at 7v or 5v. At 12v they're kind of loud.

Literally everything outperforms noctua, I don't understand why people are in love with them.

Look @ the noise levels and FPM of air moved, RPM + voltage doesn't mean diddly crap IMO, the only thing that matters is air moved, and how loud they are whilst moving said air.

That pressure stuff really doesn't mean jack squat, SOOO many manfuacturers lie / test differently than everyone else so specs are kinda tough when testing fans

If you want a really in depth review of how much air is being moved through the rad, how many volts, how many RPM, and the noise levels of the fans:

This guy literally does this stuff for a living, has his own website and does TONSSSS of reviews on fans, and watercooling components.

I believe the pressure (on the 1850 RPM model) on the one I own and use on my radiators goes up to 57.X CFM. I use them at about 1200-1000 RPM and get very low temps.

@Lays I still want to see a better and more through test than the one you keep quoting for quite some time now. This is because there is so much more that could easily have been done. Also last I looked he didnt go into how it was setup so it could be replicated.

This made me worder how the PWM on fans is actually setup and howto make a standalone controller as I have never seen one.

I agree it could be more in depth, but then again, couldn't every review be "better?"

Even if it was more thorough I'd think people would still nitpick at it, I'm not saying Noctua are bad or anything, it's just in my experience and others experiences they weren't as good as other options.

I really didn't like the low hum noise they make at ~600 RPM, with PWM control and straight voltage control that noise never seemed to go away.

That doesn't change the fact they have insane build quality and accessories that come with are extremely useful, but I don't really understand the whole "OMFG THEY'RE THE BEST" "LINUS LOVES THEM WE MUST LOVE THEM TOO"

( I know it's not quite to that extent, but you catch my drift)

If you're looking for silence then Akasa Apache Blacks are excellent. Even at 100% they are almost silent, and they have great static pressure. Also they are stealthy black
