Amazon Plans to Increase Membership Fee.

Their Prime membership was bordering on a legitimate deal for me, but not now.

$120 a year is easily justifiable for $1 overnight and free 2 day shipping on most of the products I order.

Lol ive been using Prime for over a YEAR now, and I just make a new account every time the trial expires. Ive used the exact same name, address, and credit card and they still havent caught on. How hard would it be for them to tell you have already used the same info on a different account? xD

I know I don't, I'm speaking for myself, not for others. I also thought the Super Saver Service was available world wide, I honestly did not know that it wasn't.

I'd pay twice that to keep Prime, it pays for itself in the amount of fuel to drive half a mile out of my way to the store a few times a week, let alone the fact that the products are usually cheaper, takes a fraction of the time from your daily routine, you don't have to deal with morons, and you have a wider selection... all you give up is having to wait two days. Other than food and building supplies, I don't buy anything locally... Hell, I even buy food from Amazon sometimes.

12 bucks per month it's sorta ok just for the streaming services and a few shipments per year it becomes a good deal even with the price hike. Of course I know nothing of the actual library for their streaming thingie so if it's tiny then the price increase is not ok: It's not like Amazon is not already making profits from every purchase anyway.

Dude, Free Super Saver shipping is definitely available on orders over $35. It's probably slower than the USA equivalent, but it's still there. It's only available on items fulfilled by amazon, and I'm sure there are exceptions, but it's there.

I used it on Boxing Day when I bought a crap load of super cheap Blu-Rays (Alien Quadrilogy, Original Planet of the Apes complete collection, Lord of the Rings extended, Harry Potter Collection, Complete Firefly Series, and a couple misc movies for like $120 taxes included) during their Boxing Day sale.

For Sale: Meraki Bundle

I don't order from Amazon as much as I used to, and probably not as much as I should. So for me this seems a little crazy. It's probably so they can pay for their Drones.

Still worth it. For how often I buy from them, 2-day shipping gets paid off withing 4 or 5 items, and who knows how many more hundreds I don't have to spend after that.

Pretty much. Prime is awesome.

Most of the things I order provide free shipping with purchases over $35. The extra few days I would receive it with prime don't justify paying yearly to receive it maybe a couple days earlier. Standard shipping can still be pretty fast depending on when you order. Not to mention prime isn't available for all products, much like the $35 free shipping.

But don't forget Prime isn't only shipping, sometimes their streaming service has things Netflix doesn't

I have to admit. I've been using the trial to order my build parts and it's not half bad. We ordered a blower  and it just so happened to get here the next day!! But again, we never have any money to buy anything for ourselves unless its to pay bills, so taking use of this for such a fee is stupid for us.

I live in canada and free shipping from amazon is definately available, I used it last week...

it s just the items offered by amazon.ca are VERY limited compared to the us...

Anything I write is just a comment, take is as such, there is no guarantees associated with anything I say.
