Vizio has announced its new line-up of TVs, including its range of Ultra HD sets which are extremely well-priced for a slice of 4K – images four times sharper than current HD. Its P-series televisions start at a modest $999.99 (£608) for the 50-inch model, while you can go even bigger for $2,599.99 (£1,583), which grants you Vizio’s massive top-end 70-inch set.

If I ever start litecoin or bitcoin mining sure. That will be some expensive international bill tho DudeWazap. The international shipping would cost more than the tv lol.

It's surprising even though it's not a 60hz panel but probably a 30hz since its a tv it'll be great still. Waiting for the 8K monitor/tv to drop down the prices soon too :)

Was excited, then realised they just did a direct conversion on $ -> £.

Reckon that will hold?, even with our taxes and stuff, most tech here seems to be more expensive.

£600 is a direct conversion. $999 is around £600, but in most cases if something costs $999 in the US it costs £999 or over in Britain.

8k gaming will be awesome, I may need to upgrade my rig for that though.

@DudeWazap even though it is a 4K tv at 30hz or maybe higher it's a great deal for a home cinema room. Get some friends watch a movie or something

Most certainly you can, however they're more or less likely not manufactured in the UK if that is what you mean

They are quite common in the big box stores here in the states. Low quality cheap TV's that look pretty, so they sell like crazy. I'm not sure if I know anyone who hasn't owned at least one Visio TV at one point, rarely do they buy one again though.

I've looked on the internet and I couldn't find a single one for sale in the UK.

Yeah that's true. I may need to buy a home theater couch with some cup holders. :)
