How much does Ryzen benefit from high speed RAM?

I just wanted to know how much performance you are gaining.

A pretty great deal. It benefits from fast, dual channel memory. The architecture of the processor relies on it fairly heavily.

It benefits FPS in games. And it has a WAYYYY larger Impact on performance (Having High speed Ram). More than that of the average.

The difference in Cinebench between 2154MHz and 3636Mhz is about 70 points.

Ive read its biggest gains are on synthetic benches only.  That the real world application (for gaming at least) is like 3-5 fps.  I was told this by people more intelligent than I here on these forums when wondering about swapping out my 2133mhz, and building an intel system with it.  In the end after much discussion I was of the belief its not worth it in my situation.

Well aren't you a sweet heart.  And the OP asked about Ryzen not Intel.  Ryzen architecture is actually bound by the speed of RAM installed.  So thank you for sharing, but your situation isn't the OP's situation.

But you're right.  I should have realized you were talking about moving the RAM from a Ryzen build into an Intel build.  It seems obvious now that you've stated it.  

 

And I've said before that the faster RAM isn't something you'd actually notice if you weren't paying attention.  I would compare it to using an i3 maching and using an i7.  If you weren't told which machine had which CPU you probably wouldn't notice any difference when performing everyday tasks.  However, if you were sensitive to the performance you'd notice.  It makes me think about the LTT video where they compared higher refresh rate monitors and didn't immediately notice a difference and didn't until they went from the higher refresh rate back to the slower.  

 

But as I already stated -- Ryzen is bound by the speed of the RAM installed so there is no saying it doesn't benefit from higher speed RAM.  It's just whether your use-case will make you sensitive to the difference.
