This product just plain annoys me. The have yet to fill the gap between the AX860i and the AX1200i. Why no AX1000i ??? Come on corsair.

Glad to see this sort of efficiency outside of enterprise grade power supplies.

 

On the serious note, would love a 700W version of 80+ TITANIUM awesomeness.

That would be pretty great for silent computing.

well they labeled it just platinum.

 

Well not exactly...

 

the AX1500i is able to reach 94% efficiency at 50% load with a 115V source.

 

According the people over at "80 PLUS," with a 115V source

80 PLUS Platinum is: 90% @ 20% load, 92% @ 50%, 89% @ 100%

 

With a 230V source

80 PLUS Platinum is: 90% @ 20% load, 94% @ 50%, 91% @ 100%

80 PLUS Titanium is: 90% @ 10%, 94% @ 20%, 96% @ 50%, 91% @ 100%

 

There is currently nothing for 80 PLUS Titanium for 115V.

Lets hope that changes.

 

I didn't know there isn't a regular 80+ rating for 230V sources.

the 80+ titanium thing is only a draft right now, however the 1500i does meet the requirements

As if the specs weren't crazy enough, the price is completely insane. 450 dollars for one PSU is certainly absurd. I would not accede to buying this thing unless it was cheaper.
