Are realy 9th gen Intel's processors so good?

I have a question. How much there is a difference betwen 9th and 8th gen. Intel Cores?

Is it worthy for that kind of price?

Sorry for my perfect English ;) I hope that everybody will know what am I talking about.

The only true difference between 8th gen and 9th gen is the increase of cores on the high end, their architecture is identical.

The i5 8600K and i5 9600K are identical in every way, the only difference is that Intel increased the stock clocks on the 9600K a little.

they are better in core count and some can clock higher but if you don't need the extra core go with the last gen i7 with 6 cores that hyper threads cause the i7 9th gen cant hyper thread but the i9 will.

Currently own a 9900K + Z390 godlike.
It operates like an 8086K with 2 extra cores.
FPS doesnt differ much but it helps with streaming gameplays :D
Though the 8086K was no slouch as well when i stream.

7700k is still one of the go to CPUs because we have been stuck on 14Nm since 5th gen but 7th+  supports NVMe  so unless you need the cores a 4 core i7 K skew is still a great option with the price drops on them now and the used market of people upgrading makes putting together a really nice pc easy right now out of 7th gen being cheap and competitive for a while still with a good board and new GPU.

9th gen is a coffee lake refresh, which is a refresh of kaby lake, which is a refresh of skylake. Intel hasn't been that much last years. And with the current shortage, prices are way too high. if the prices come down, it could be a great option. But not for now

I don't think that's right. I believe the packages are bigger for heat dissipation and they include hardware fixes for Spectre and Meltdown.
