X370M vs B450M

Between the Asrock X370M Pro 4 and the Asus B450M- PRIME, which one would you choose? In the case of using the latest ryzen cpus and the price of both mobos are the same

B450M should do you well (and supports the latest Ryzen CPUs out of the box), but if you do need X370 features, go for the X370M.

Depends on the system, but the ASUS B series Prime boards arent good. 

 

Just get a B350 PRO4 board of you have a 1000 series CPU and a B450 Pro4 board if you have a 2000 serie CPU

I'd get the board with the most features. But if you have the latest of the Ryzen CPU's then you WILL need to update your bios (if it is not done already) to run the new lineup of CPU's. Also in my experience, the old Bios for AM4 boards is terrible. The software has come a very long way since Ryzen has launched.

Why aren't they good? I'm planning on getting a ASUS Prime B350 Plus for my new rebuild and it seems pretty good according to reviews (Don't have it yet). Unless the Prime Plus is a exception

X370 typically just has features that only enthusiasts need (i.e. two or three M2 slots, etc). If you're just the casual gamer and don't do crazy stuff, the B450 is a better choice.

 

Both of them can overclock.

Check whether one has things you need that the other board  doesnt , or else buy the cheaper board.

Prime Plus is quite bad. A B350 PRO4 is better. 

 

VRM and general feutures make Asus boards bad at this pricetier
