First gaming pc

Probably will try build my first gaming pc instead of getting a prebuilt. Not good at planning parts so just wanted to see what the community thinks of this. Any criticism/improvements are allowed.

EDIT5: updated again incase anyone still want to help https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/3ctrWD

Don't worry about getting the 212 evo right now, the ryzen stock cooler is decent

You should try to get a 2x4GB set of RAM, and if you can swing it go for 3200 speeds on them. Ryzen processors love fast dual channel RAM

get 2 sticks of ram especially with ryzen they really like memory and the benifits of duel channel are much greater for a ryzen CPU, also maybe try a different model of 1060 6g as that one is smaller and wont clock as better because it will be hotter

I agree with the dual channel sticks with a higher Hz speed.

also you can get much cheaper fan controllers or just use the mother board and a cheap $5 splitter cable, unless you want REALLLY REALLLY granular fan control then by all means buy a fancy controller

Dropped the CPU cooler. The Ryzen box cooler is quite good for those CPUs.

Changed the RAM to something dual channel and a little faster

removed the fan controller and increased the storage size of your SSD.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

Couldn't agree more with what has already been said.

Ditch the 212 Evo for now, as well as the fan controller.

Asus motherboards have nice fan speed controllers that you can setup either within the UEFI or through a software. So no need for a physicall external one.

Build this instead...

Added a better Mobo, 16gb ram, rx580, 480gb SSD.

The Asus Mobo that u have selected has no heatsinks from vrm cooling.

Here's what I would go for instead of the original suggested list :

I would go for a 2600 instead of a 2600X since you are paying a B450 chipset motherboard anyway so you are probably willing to overclock, even slightly. This will bring the 2600 very close to a stock 2600X.

If you want a 120GB SSD, then go for the cheapest reputable one, because nowadays 120GB is very little storage. ADATA is a very reputable manufacturer.

For the case, I'd choose something more ventilated and cheaper for a similar build quality.
