Why not leave the Linus car at the front door Make a long-term aging VLOG

stikefreedom

I am a car guy and I have a lot of cars now, but I always want to find my most memorable one. I spent 10 years looking for my first car. I haven't found it yet, I am very sad.

"on city streets and laneways"

not private property , as of course has been the ways of private property for a long time

A child could literally drive the car around the parking lot if they wanted and that's also legal

is the Laneway in front of the LMG offices (or at least the parking part of it) actually part of the property as well? In Australia (well my city) at least, the parking would still be classed as council land and is therefore under their control.

Yeah it's in the back of a big complex

lol , yeah

canada is very similar to the US in the sense that your land is your land , no city service is going to come by and clean/pave your parking lot for you.

now LMG probably rents / leases the space and the parking lot still belongs to the owner but private property laws still apply.

Because it would be blocking a valuable parking spot.

Also, it's a car and not a sandwich (sorry to break it to you), it won't start rotting and turn green.

Because it takes 10+ years to see corrosion and rusting on modern cars. Even with Linus' Civic. And when we know how impatient internet is, thats way too long.

That's not how it works.  Millions of people leave their cars outside all year and they don't dissolve from the rain.

Not if you have a Chrysler product. ;) I remember right around the 2009 refresh of the RAM and how within a year you could see bubble rust forming over the rear wheel arches and within 2 you could easily jam a finger through it. Hell, I've seen the underbodies of some brand new Demons and they already had surface rust forming.

As people above have said, it would be noticed and towed/clamped eventually.

I rent a small garage, and in the parking space out front, I was dismantling a vehicle for parts. When the company letting my unit found out, they threatened to remove it and gave me a 5-day notice. It was declared as 'off the road', no tax insurance etc. But technically it was parked on their land, so they had the power.

The Lambo definitely has that 'abandoned' look about it

Just stop in the corner of your backyard and you're fine.

Parking space is valuable, and really, with the hardware they have inside at their disposal, what would they ever use the outside PC for?

They're not in Vancouver though ;)

As @emosun said though, they own/lease the building. It's their parking, they can do with it as they wish (within reason). I doubt anyone else around there is going to complain.

Completely different situation.

Someone likely complained because it's a huge eye sore and potential safety risk. You also rent, you don't lease or own, and it's not Canada. Different laws apply.

I know it wasn't a complaint, not that you'll believe me ? Also you don't own the land if you're leasing it...

Also @stikefreedom if I had space in my backyard I wouldn't have to pay for extra space would I ;)

No, you don't own it, but you have more of a right to what happens on said land than someone who's renting.
